    Will there be ethnic diversity?

Civ Rev for the XBOX 360 showed this. Units reflected their ethnic groups. (Mongols looked Mongolian, Romans looked Roman).

Will it be this way in Civ Rev 5?

No announcement as of yet; you would think they could incorporate it somehow.

I'd also like to see the effects of migration in city population, etc. so that by the modern era, if your culture is dominant you can see a plethora of ethnic types inhabiting your cities.

I think it's an awesome idea. Obviously near the center of the planet, especially if it's like a terra map, then the people would be darker while the closer to the north/south poles of the planet they'd be white.

I don't think they will, not in the way it was done in revolutions.

There were much fewer choices of civilizations in revolutions than in a standard civilization game. They could spend the time and make each one more unique. Especially for the console crowd to easily see the difference.

But on the pc, with 18+ civilizations, each with a unique unit AND all the same shared...it gets to be a hefty number. When you consider adding in even mode subsets of units you're going to really start increasing the load time on the computer. Especially if units can't stack and are laid out across the map.

I doubt a few extra textures/models are going to increase load times or slow down the game, this is a Civ game not Crysis.

I also doubt it would take a long time to add a unique look for each Civ, I mean what else are the Texture/Model people going to be making? I think they've already finished the world graphics and other stuff.

I do hope the Civ 5 people will have normal size feet.

You mean your feet aren't that big?

It would help the game visually appeal to more people.

They might do groupings, so European nations look similar to each other etc.

In Fall from heaven II - a mod for civ 4 every single civ had completely individual units, plus hundreds of others for barbarians and events etc. there are 19 civs total in this mod. I don't see why they couldn't make individual units for each civ when FFH (a team of 5 or so people) did.

With all respect, pal, but it's not like they have nothing else to do in this moment. It's a big studio, and even if they hipothetically already finished the Civ5 job, they would be allocated to something else. And yes, I agree with you, adding some more models definitely won't sacrifice CPU performance.

    It is very do-able.
