Grenade Thrower is Overpowered ?!?
Hello. This is my first post here and simultaneous it is a suggestion.
Do you think G.T is a bit overpowered ? if two people running as a team with a G.T you have nearly no chance to do something. it is the typical one shot death, like the G.T in Call of Duty. especially the current lag situation makes it harder, too.
Do you think G.T needs a nerf, or a change ?
PS: I stick this thread in Multiplayer Discussion because i think it "is" a problem in multiplayer matches.

i dont think its overpowered because it takes 3 shots to kill depending on the opponents health, but either way thats why i always have telekinisis so i can catch those muther !blam!

its a noob weapon, it requires no aiming, no skill, and since you mention Call of Duty yes.. Grenade Launcher is Noobtube.

thats why everyone says is a noob weapon
after the last patch there havnt been that much of ''lag'', and im talking about PC version not Playstation 3 or xbox360. ( Lag is horrible excuse )

A. Cant Aim the Gun worth ****
B.You fell into the trap of being near an oil slick, which increases the GL damage about 50%.
C.You tried fighting a GL user at mid-range using a close range or inaccurate weapon (Nail Gun/Shotgun)
D. You got scavenged (which is cheap but is still effective)
Splash damage needs to be reduced by 40-50%. The game can be completely ruined if you get 2 or 3 players on the opposite team moving together using nade launchers just zero chance unless you also go so low to use same tactics which most people over the age of 12 wont find fun.
Its not overpowered whatsoever. People just need to use their plasmids accordingly.
Telekinesis = no grenades thrown at ya
Houdini + Nailgun = owned anyone
Me<---Not 100% against nades

Second, the nade clouds your view and shakes your screen. Personally, I'm a headshotter, just to say I can aim. It really messes you up!
Lastly, the radius of splash is a tad large. It's been often that I've been killed or kill someone far away or running around the corner and the nade boom was big enough to wipe em out.
Is it overpowered? Probably not, but certainly is irritated as hell if spammed or put in good hands.
Oh yeah, and with Telekinesis: Could be just me, but every time I try to catch a nade, I get a rock or something instead. Minor complaint, could be me or lag, or the plasmid I guess.
I find if I just hold down right mouse with telekinesis I'll pick up junk like rocks but as soon as they fire a shot its replaced by their nade.
Not once has it failed me except when I haven't actually been looking at the player which is sorta where the 'skill' comes in.
can you shoot people while in houdini mode?
The problem with Grenade Launchers is that everyone says they are 'easily countered' well, no they arn't to be honest.
I played a Grab the ADAM game the other day, my plasmids set as Houdini and Aero Dash. Although I was consistently doing very well there was about three guys using the Grenade Launcher. I shouldn't have to waste one of my slots with Telekenisis just to counter one weapon in the game.
The Nail Gun, fine. I personally use the Machine Gun and Crossbow and can quite easily counter most other loadouts, and that usually includes me Aero Dashing into someone or running to the hills using Houdini
I'd have no problem with the Grenade Launcher in it's original state, but the fact they also home in... Well it's a no brainer.
I used the Grenade Launcher to complete the necessary trials and to be honest I really feel like I was being unfair to my fellow Splicers, and when a decent player (which I consider myself) feels guilty for using a weapon there is obviously an issue there.
Yep you certainly can. If you follow their movements. Theres actually a trial for killing an invisable foe
