ps2, Xbox (busted, lasted a long ass time), Wii (soon to be sold though), and a 360.

Was trying to decide if I wanted a hand-held: Any thoughts or impressions from DS or PSP owners out there?

Favorite is the 360 by far, lots of good features and online is a blast.

    hooked into my TV:

Sega Genesis with 32x/sega cd (blackthorne)
Super Nintendo (right now with super gameboy and zelda dx)
    Xbox 360 (crackdown)
    Wii (super paper mario)

    not hooked up:
    N64
Dreamcast (I use it mainly for house of the dead with light guns)
Sega Saturn (I got stuck in Dragon Lance and unhooked it)
    NES
    PS2
    PS1

    Handhelds:
    Virtual Boy (Wario's Woods FTW!)
    Game Gear (woot ninja gaiden!)
    Game Boy
    Game Boy Advance
    Nintendo DS

I highly suggest getting a DS, I have more fun on it than any handheld I've ever owned. Mario Kart + Final Fantasy 3 + Metroid Prime + touch = amazing fun

Scorched Earth on the b drive!

I have fond memories of bad B drive games.

Mario Tennis is cool too, and I love that pinball game, then again I love the virtual boy.

I am planning on getting a Nomad and Master System to complete my sega collection.

I don't have any, and I'm not planning on getting one either.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti console (I've got fond memories of Golden Eye on the N64 and Burnout and Worms 4 on the PS2), It's just that no console game has ever been a killer app for me.

some of my earliest memories are of the various tanks and vehicles battle game on that atari 2600, when I was 3 years old (1988) on christmas day my older brother and I got a gift for both of us, which was the first time that had happened, we tore off the wrapping and found it to be an NES.

Now, I like PC gaming and have done a lot of it, but computers (to me) are a bit more distant, whereas consoles have been there with me since I was but a wee little child and as such have a lot of warm memories attached to them. Add to that I've been able to watch the console game industry grow from an infantile state to a strapping young gentlemen, much like myself, and my sense of attachment to consoles is pretty complete. I don't feel right unless there's a console somewhere near me.

At the moment I only have my PC.

But I'm going to buy me a 360 real soon, because it is way cheaper than upgrading the PC, and far less of a hassle. And with it I'll be able to play GTA IV as soon as it hits .

@Jeff: Completely the opposite for me man. There's always been a computer there for me. I have some fond memories of hacking the very first CIV game that ever came out, all the names of everything including the credits. Nothing like having yourself in the credits, and your friends, and Darth Vader, and the 3-Stooges, and...

Also, the very first NHL game that came out as well. I was sick of my guys sucking so bad I had to check them and take the puck away. Unfortunately, I made the computer too good, and it checked ME and took the puck away!

    Peace,
    Cor

Am I the only one here who has never owned a console of any kind? That's right, not so much as a gameboy!

My first ever computer was an Apple IIe, and I've been a PC gamer ever since.

    Lightbulb

Only the NES and SNES for me. I was crazy about the N64 but I never bought one of my own, had a friend who got it just based on my obsession with it. I'm an avid emulation fan though, went and revisited all the old console stuff I missed out on.
