    Multiplayer

It needs to be faster, smoother and more secure.

In Civ4 I can go through 20-30 turns a minute on any given single-player game, on-line its 1-2 turns a minute, if your lucky.

Giving us the option to set our own turn timer limits (or just making the game real-time) would be a fantastic improvement.

Managing the amount of time you have to maintain your civilization should be a key skill in competitive game-play.

Password civilisations automatically - joiners ruin games, but it is annoying when you are disconnected for whatever reason that you cannot re-enter a game because take over AI is off!

Real time would hardly be an improvement as it would make the game too dependent on technical skill.

Faster turn timer limits would be good though. Blazing wastes way too much time (especially at the later turns).

after playing civ rev i would say real time is the only way to go in these types of games. technical skill does come into play but stategy plays a much bigger role.

civ is a turnbased masterpiece and will always be guys^^.... realtime would ruin this game, the whole complexity is about turnmovment, turnproduction and and and....

more turntimers and the ability of the host to change the turntimer (both already modded in civ4 by league modders) should be made for sure.

Civ is all about being turn based game. And unless you automove everything, it takes at least a minute or two for every turn when you have even just half a dozen citys and workers already. When at war, it takes much longer.
