    Netbooks

I don't know if you guys are paying attention to the netbook community.
I think Civ is a great game to play in a netbook. I play it when flying, on the train, etc.
I think netbooks are also a challenge in terms of rethinking interfaces and gameplay. I understand you guys want to push the graphics and all but I hope you don't forget this market share.
    Maybe a Civ V lite?

Maybe they can take after torchlight and make a netbook mode Cause I know that is all I have in terms of power right now.

If Civ5 doesn't run well on the netbook, at least Civ3 should. That game isn't demanding at all.

I totally agree with that, it's a great game series to play while traveling, which is why I would love to see a Civ game that can run on my mobile phone. But Civ5 will obviously not do that, but the phone in question have a 600MHz CPU so it can run a game more complex than the first Civ, which is the Civ game I've played the most too.

Have you seen the graphics engine? No netbook could handle that.

Maybe that Mx11 or whatever from Alienware, but that's not a netbook, that's a small gamer's notebook.

It just happens that 95% of the people who buy a netbook do it because it does everything they do on a notebook (Browsing, e-mail, musics, SD video, office) at a lower price. The Civ community is already a minority and I'll celebrate if they make a Civilization V for Mac native "port". I'm starting to sound like a fanboy, but I think they might create a Civilization for iPad (it easily bests a netbook's hardware and the large screen should make interface a non-issue), especially when the thing sky-rockets at launch (believe me, it will: analysts also said the original Macintosh from 1984, the first iPod from 2001 and the first iPhone from 2007 would fail.... and look at them now).
