    Security Bot Appreciation Thread

    Hey Guys,

These bots have saved my life on numerous occasions but it seems like they get hardly any appreciation for throwing themselves selflessly into battle.

So I think we should all say "Thanks Security Bots"

Remember: theyve saved your ass, at least you can do a little shoutout for em'

    Thanks Security Bots

The Handyman tonic was one of the most useful tonics in the game. I loved having the ability to repair/name them. What was your favorite name? Mine was Omar.

I remember when I first got the Handyman Tonic, I was like "Whaaat this is silly." - but holy crap, I must have kept the same security bot for over half of the Paupers Drop level. His name was Tobey. Poor thing was a bit too courageous though, he jumped right in front of me when a Splicer poped up and I accidentally shotgunned him.

    RIP Tobey.

My favorite Bot names where Spot, Stretch, and Patches. That handyman tonic is kick-ass! I'm playing through again and really researching security because I want to get the Ultron 99 tonic, or whatever it is called.

I wonder how the Security Bots fist pump without arms...

I love the bots! Security Command is a great plasmid line. Summoning mechanized minions at will is invaluable at times. The naming feature is neat, as well.

I never destroy Security Camera's, always hack them. Then I get free bots when a clueless splicer walks in front of one ( I move quickly to hack one or both of them after the splicer's history). Some times I'd deliberately set off an alarm just to get a couple of bots.

The Security plasmid is much improved over B1's, since you can summon with it. I almost never used it in B1. I do wish the Handyman plasmid would let me repair cameras, however.

Anyway, I love bots, and they've made my life - and my battles with Big Daddies & Sisters - much easier. Yay Bots!

Yeh, some of the bot names are very easter-eggy... Tobey, Jordan, Andrew, Ryan... I had one named Garrett. Now where's Viktoria?

Deadly/Hardy machines plus Handyman is a terrible (in a good way) combo. Throw in Insect Swarm 2 and Hypnotize, and you have a veritable army at your command. This pretty much sums up how I handled the final fight in my last playthrough. Bots, mini-turrets, bees and a hypnotized Alpha. I pretty much just flung bees and watched the carnage.

I haven't watched TV since BioShock came out. I simple joke, yes, but a joke nonetheless. Although technically it's true, I watch my shows on Hulu.

I saved up my money throughout that level, spent it on proximity mines, rivet traps, and trap spears. The final battle was a brightly colored display of lights and carnage. With Decoy 3, I actually gained health during the fight. Started out almost dead.

Thanks, Security Bots! Probably my favorite ally in any video game. The Splicer's bane!

    Scotty

I kept triggering the alarm and hacking the bots. I killed them until I got Scotty back.

They look cool too! I had a bot blow up on Father Wales and he flew like a mo'fo!

I found them pretty annoying in the first game, but this time around I loved having them around much more - they weren't as annoying (probably just because it was much easier to dodge security this time around), and could be very handy to have on your side. Not to mention the Handyman tonic gives them names, which I thought was pretty amusing, especially if you knew where the names came from (2K staff).
