civ-V fantasy mod?

How cool would it be to have a fantasy mod for Civ V?

There are at least a couple of mods for Civ4, but they are not really tuned properly (IMHO) and so they end up being not really fun to play.

Some Firaxis effort could make a difference!

That would be AWESOME.

FA doesn’t have to create the mod itself, just the units and allow the designers to create their own techs.

This way many designers can build different fantasy mods with different units.

I don't want just More of the Same. Gee, look...a few new leaders, a few new cultures, a few new buildings. Ho-hum.

I want the first add-on to be a complete FANTASY or SCIENCE FICTION version of the game.

Well, Fall From Heaven II is one of the most acclaimed and beloved mods for any genre, in all the history of the human race. And rightfully so, I think. I just want a Fall From Heaven 3 for Civ 5 and I'll be happy.

I never liked Civ Fantasy mods. Count me out. Does sound like an interesting idea though.

I'm actually working on a Civ V mod right now (based on the Wizards of the Coast SRD). The first version will just be a nations swap. I'll be getting rid of all the "real world" nations/leaders and adding my own. Some of the abilities will be recycled (such as giving Wood Elves the same move-through-forest as the Iroquois) and some will be brand new. Expect "good" and "evil" races to join the fray.

One thing I do need is an artist who can do the icons/logos/portraits. Eventually I'll need one who wants to build new 3D units with Nexus. I plan on this being huge!
