PROOF Andrew Ryan could very well be alive! *spoilers*

    *spoiler alert!*

Now I know alot of doubters are saying that Andrew Ryan is dead, but if you look into the story of Bioshock 2 you will see many things.

First off, Delta is dead for 10 years and is brought back to life because his DNA is put into the Vita Chambers, Andrew Ryan was killed and had his Vita Chamber off, after you leave, you can still use the Vita Chambers because you are his son, his DNA is still in the Vita Chamber system, not to mention the fact that there is another Vita Chamber not 10 feet away in the main room that you first enter. He could easily be on the other side of the door. If Delta can be brought back after 10 years- whats stopping Andrew Ryan from being brought back 10 minutes later?

Later, you hear lamb say, after she just about killed you and has you tied down to a table, that No one is to kill you, if you die from Trauma then you will just be brought back, yet if you go into the coma you will die- I doubt any of you will argue that Andrew Ryan Obviously died of trauma, sooo whats stopping Ryan from being alive?

I think the possibilities of Ryans escape from Rapture are endless...

really, these topics about his revival are getting pretty annoying. He's dead, deal with it.

seriously, the game was meant to be played with vita's off, delta was revived through a "one time use" and lamb only "thought" he would revive...cmon just end it he died a selfish death, one of his choosing, just drop it, he found a way, he wanted it...

Says who? That's beside the point.

The point is that Ryan's dead and he's not coming back. Period paragraph.

  6. #6
But who would want to bring Ryan back? It seems like Lamb is much more liked by the splicers than Ryan ever was. There is no one who wants to bring him back.

  7. look please dont write bad comments about this idea but he could be very well be alive. and for all the people that say he deactived his vita chamber, kill yourself when your about to kill ryan and you will be revivied at his vita chamber. thats the strongest proof you can provide

That's no proof at all. That's a deficiency in the game's programming.

well it could bring him alive so its a chance i didnt say that he isnt come alive for sure. i just dont see why you dont why you want andrew ryan back. it could make a great twist in bioshock 3.(if they have one) i just dont see it

It is a loop-hole that 2K COULD use, if they really wanted to bring back Ryan, but I simply doubt that they will.

  12. #12
Please no. It would be an awful twist, and make the first BioShock a little worse by cheapening the death of Ryan in the first place..

It's possible, yes, but this is where we have to take into account the decisions of the deus ex developers and think: "would they really bring him back?"

the answer is no, the developers would never bring him back. Why? The fans would be pissed. Another reason why I believe he's still dead is his personality. I believe if he ere ressurected, he would simply kill himself rather than seeing his city in the state that it's been left in.

the first step is denial...then acceptance

i think he served his purpose fully in bioshock 1. dont get me wrong, i love his character. but if they brought him back its like everything that happened in the first game didnt matter at all. also bringing him back would just detract from the character we all know

Heck I've been on step 1 according to you for qute some time... I think Bioshock 3 could be about Rapture's final Rebirth- hear me out- New Rapture. Now who could accomplish such a task? Andrew Ryan. Only in its Rebirth he causes its death, and the Rapture story is finally over, with the death of Rapture, the Final Death of Andrew Ryan, and so on.

I want to see more Ryan! Whether he is alive or dead. But he is dead for good, and never the less, if there is even going to be Bio3

The developers have confirmed his death many times. But things can change. It would be interesting if he came back.

    Imagine:

BioShock 3. Ending. You're about to die at the hands of a new antagonist, but suddenly ANDREW RYAN SAVES YOU!

And then you both commit suicide to go to Kapitalist Heaven!

Umm since Deltas DNA was sync to the chambers wouldnt that mean Ryans wont work anymore cause it was replaced?? Also wouldnt at the ending of BIoshock 2 wouldnt Delta be revived in a vita chamber??

If I remember correctly, he has been officially confirmed as dead. That ends that matter.

And, if that was realistic and un-fun, you'd lose the game and have to start all over again. Its just the games mechanics. The Vita-Chamber was off. Andrew Ryan is dead.

The vita chamber didnt even carry Deltas DNA, yet he came back...

He wasnt confirmed as dead, just you would not meet him alive in Bioshock 2.

I would just like people to be open minded about Ryan being alive.

No, as Lamb said if he died of Trauma, he would return elsewhere, but if he was to die Naturally it would mean his end.

Having A Golf Club Club Shoved Into Your Head Isn't Exactly What I Call A Natural Death.

if ryan returned i would hate bioshock. i love both games, but bringing ryan back would be the stupidest thing possible. if i was playing bio2 or 3 and i saw ryan return i would put down the controller and sell my games for a few bucks and forget bioshock ever existed.

Yes, Ryan could be alive. Then again, Sinclair could have been Fontaine. Or Sofia Lamb could have been Sander Cohen in drag. The point is, just because something is possible doesn't mean it should happen. Bringing back Ryan would be one of the oldest tricks in the book. It would lessen the affect of his death and cheapen the game from there. Ryan's death was an act of self-destruction brought about from seeing his city deteriorate and his own son collaberating with his enemy. He never intended on making it out alive, if he had he could have ended it all right there.

EXACTLY! You get respawned if you are killed by trauma, whereas if you die a natural death you dont.

Ryan being revived would be a poor choice on many levels.

It would completely subvert everything he believes in, completely ruin the point of WHY he died, and cheapen ALL of BioShock 1. This kind of stuff is jumping the shark- retconning of the worst sort.

From a plot standpoint, it's completely silly. There's NOTHING left of Rapture at the end of BioShock 2. Sure, most of it is still standing, but what's left is shameful, falling apart, and useless. The only thing keeping it alive are the city's automated systems. What's Ryan going to do?

I don't get this obsession with thinking Ryan is still alive. Having him come back would be awful. Bringing back antagonists rarely works outside of Mario games.

Ryan is Dead. And i prefer it stays that way.

The way he died, handing you the golf club and him saying "KILL"basicly means he wanted to die...or something like that.

Seeing him come back would be as bad a Wesker somehow coming back AGAIN in resident evil 6....i prefer the dead to stay that way, thank you very much
