My favorites were by Nina Carnegie and Mark Meltzer~

Not only was I ecstatic to see Mark in the game (despite what happened to him... ;~;), but he actually helped explain a lot of what Rapture "was" to my friend who was watching me play xD

    And Nina Carnegie... I don't know why, I always liked seeing ADs from "normal" citizens of Rapture and what happened to them after New Year's Eve 1959... >3>;

Also like what someone above said, what -did- happen to the children? o__o;; Maybe they turned into splicers- I mean, it was ten years ago so the timing might be right? xDD (And it'd explain why the candles around her body were still lit- the now-splicers still remembered the person who "saved" their lives and fought for their survival the best she could during that time :c)

    edit:
The Fountine one when he is like say good bye to Fountine (mafia voice) then Hello to Atlas (in scotish voice)
    ^and that one ;D With the gun-loading click as he changes accents >3>;

My favorites were the "Goodbye to Fontaine, and Hello to Atlas" and the final one by Mark Meltzer. I played that AD twice because I didn't really believe what happened to Mark. I did feel some sympathy when I killed him and took Cindy. Honestly, all of the ADs were really well-done.

I don't remember the entire diary exactly now, son, but my favourite quote from onna those Audio Diaries by miss Sofia Lamb went a little something like this:

'Utopia cannot precede the utopia. It will exist the moment we are fit to occupy it.'

I also enjoyed the one with the little four-year-old fella recordin' the diary for the Li'l Dimples he saw.

Well all right. But do you mind if I take you apart while I wait? I promise I'll put you back togther!

'What? You can't do thaaaat....noooo.....waaaaiiiiit, wait Eleaaanoooorrr....'

    End of Audio Diary

I like the one where the Husband and Wife are trying to escape Rapture then Sofia finds them and blows up their bathysphere. I don't know why but I chuckle near the end.

Is this considered a Spoiler? please let me know so if it is I can edit it.

Where is the destructive education one?

And my favorite by far is wooden nickles: Andrew Ryan. He reckoned the free market was some kinda holy spirit gonna lead us all over the rainbow -- and I recon it's a big fat hooker too dim to spot a wooden nickel. So old Andy went an' became his own ghost, and I whittled nickels 'till I made a mint.

My favorites were all of Meltzer's, the last one especially (when he says " ...I wasn't the first to find Rapture, you crazy *****. And I won't be the last. You do ... whatever you want to me... as long as I'm with Cindy... I'm ... I'm a happy man." )

and I also really liked " Outlived Usefulness"
"Well, that's the end of the Alpha Series. The Pair Bond simply worked too well. That madwoman Tenenbaum bit the company hand, turning some of the bonded Sisters human again. Others were... lost to Splicers. Either way, the trauma proved too much for the bonded Protectors, resulting in unreasoning rage, or coma. We can harness their suicidal aggression as foot soldiers... but no more, I'm afraid. Today I saw one kneeling near a Gatherer's Garden and... and crying."
The thought of a big daddy crying was something I had never pictured before, it made me so sad

My favourite was the first Mark Meltzer diary where he was saying about finally making it to rapture alive. Was awesome.

    Two spring to mind.

First, the audio diary that's found at the beginning of Fontaine Futuristics. In this diary, Andrew Ryan discusses how he is glad that both Fontaine and Lamb have disappeared and he is now free to be alone with his city.

Second, the audio diary that's found in Fontaine's office. The reason why this diary gets a mention, is because of the closing line. "So it's goodbye Fontaine, and hello to Atlas!" The sudden change in accent made me smile, and want to play the first one all over again.

The recording of the boy with the crush on the little sister is not so cute after I thought about it. It sounded like he was reading from something on a page. Perhaps a page that was prepared for him?

I figured he had wrote it out, maybe with someone's help, and then read it to the Audio Log.

My favorite would also be the "Say hello to Atlas" tape.

I was really touched by the one left by the dead mother in the Ryan's Amusements. Nina Carnegie - Deterioration. Being trapped in the Amusement Park and the children having to eat all the supplies and her concern for their fate after she dies.

    Agreed.

Except I did like the debates between Lamb and Ryan, and the Lamb and Grace therapy sessions. There were a few decent ones, but they all seemed directly related to the plot, so they didnt interest me as much.

Diane McClintock still has the best diaries in my opinion.

I too enjoyed the young Eleanor's audio diaries, those were great and adorable!

BTW did anyone find the audio diary in Dionysus park titled "A gift from Billy"? I find it very adorable that the little boy likes the LS and hides her a gift in the basement.

Fontaine's diaries were my favourite, especially the one where he comes up with his Atlas persona.

Sorry, can't think of one at the moment. But for Mark Meltzer the carousel log comes to mind. The one you pick up just after you actually hear him, that one made me excited .

Ya! I ran in like, crap! Where the hell is he!!! I later researched the area to find the audio diary...

  30. I love the little billie's audio diary, because it was really unique and it seemed very misplaced in Rapture. The idea of a boy loving a little sister was sad because love is something a little sister, possibly, would not be able to grasp. When I found his gift, I left it unopened just out of common courtesy.

I that it was sad that the kid left the gift because if you think about it, he was probally killed , and did anyone else realize that's the first proof of a little boy in Rapture???

The one that sticksout the most for me was from the little boy (can't recall his name as I only played it once) leaves a message for a little girl he believes is cute (may have been elanor) about the gift he left for her in the basement.

"My mommy says your daddy is scary, but I think your daddy is strong and brave like a comic book super hero"

I'm sorry to be the fly in the ointment on lil Billy's diary. The reason I'm not so convinced of how earnest it was is because of "Big Kate" O'Malley's diary found in Dionysus.

Methinks that Billy's audio was planted there by someone for a big daddy to lumber around and bump into something that shouldn't have been bumped into.

    Just a theory tho.

  37. #77
Okay, they're not audio logs, but I like carrying around a Little Sister just for her commentary.

    "They're dancing daddy, they're dancing!"

    "OooOo Marshmellows!"

  38. #78
I like the pair of logs in Pauper's Drop that depict both sides of a deal that Sinclair made to get a guy to assemble syringes for him. Each man is certain that he's screwing the other.

I really like like Mark pronounces 'ADAM' it's rather funny. And it isn't really an audio diary, but as you can listen here at the end you can hear lots of people talking in the restaurant, and before the explosion you can hear Diane's audio diary being recorded.
