Why is my multiplayer so epically choppy?
Singleplayer, and the MP apartment run perfectly fine, but once I'm in a game, my games gets locked at 40fps and the movement is so choppy that it's nearly unplayable. It feels like I'm playing an online game with 56k and Windows 95. Specs:
- AMD Phenom II X4 925 @ 3.13Ghz
- 4GB DDRII 800MHz RAM
- 2×EVGA 9800GTX+ 512MB
- Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP2
- Internet: 6MB/s
I'd be so grateful if someone had an answer/solution.
your 6 mb is a problem
plus its not all you their servers are laggy cuz of the new release
Note that "MB" is megabytes, not megabits. No other multiplayer has done this, and I always have a ping of 20 or lower on any other multiplayer game. Even a more chaotic game like TF2.
I can't comprehend how bad servers affect your FPS.
Could be the SLI'd cards.
Try playing with only one card.
Makes no difference.

The problem indeed IS the 40 fps cap. It seems that the PC version has a 40 fps cap on multiplayer Find a Match games. Try going into Private Match by yourself. You'll see the fps is not capped and it will run a LOT smoother.
This is something they need to fix. There is nothing wrong with your 6mb/s connection. This guy seriously needs to never post again on this subject... wow again.
