Enable Race select same character.....
As I get older being drawn into a game playing a white character takes me out of it.Game like Mass Effect allow the player to customize what "their" game character looks like so..........I have a idea develop a race fader? what is that? 1.)have the original game character to left 2.)move to Latino looking character 3.)move to asian character 4.)have Black character.Also being able to stop between races for Mixes. Thank you.

This is a interesting question, because my first shooter game ever was Socom Confertation were you could be African american(black) or Caucasian(white). I have 2 sons that also play 17,12 and I'm 39. We all chose black at first but within a week my sons were all over the map with CUSTOMIZATION of there characters. For ex. white with scars black with war paint all over there face an helmets ,bandana's and caps. I loved being able to have a choice BUT they loved the CUSTOMIZATION of there character. So for us who just want to have a choice(latino,asian, black,white...etc) YES but for ALL the gamers, please have CUSTOMIZATION of the characters. Thanks PS I prefer 3rd person and only play MP so 2K GregK already stated there will be choices GREAT! I think these kinds of options are very nice to have and gives the player a little more connection to their in-game character. Never really understood why people want character customization in first person games but it's still a good feature. I'd like not only to be able to select my race, but also maybe have a few options for accessories such as maybe goggles, shoes, and different clothing options. This isn't really a necessity, but rather an extra feature that is nice to have.
I like how some of the poll suggestions mean the same thing. Also I don't care too much what race the characters are.

its really weird how some of you say we want to icon the main character walker and make him as famous as, Altair , Ezio , Mactavish , Dante , Nero or similar . and some of you don't care that the main character gets highlighted and can be anyone random. so what do you exactly want.
im pretty sure that they don't have a plan to make a customizable character engine.
i don't like that option because i always want the main character to look cool rather than a hobo.
and i always mess up.

It's funny how most white people view this subject if the shoe was on the other foot and 9 out of all 10 lead game characters were other than white somebody would say something.Realism is becoming more and more what we dreamed of years ago as gamers ,but one thing always take me out of the game the fact my character doesn't look like me like everyone else I saw trailer for "SPEC OPS THE LINE"and was blown away I will run to buy this game when it comes out I only play 3rd person shooters!!!!!so I want this game to be great!!!!!!!!!!2K
More interested in making the apparel and body armour he wears than what he looks like.
But maybe a bit of face change here and there.
i agree for multiplayer, but not for singleplayer. this kind of option would, in my opinion, reduce the connection with the main character
In SP, I'd prefer that the developers had control on that to do a top-notch game.
But in MP, is necessary. Well at least it'd be great.
That would be a nice option, but i do not expect the developers to add that.
By the way, does anyone know the race of the player character yet?
