Just wondering about a picture in Fontaine's office. Might be spoilers so wait until Fontaine Futuristics.
There's a picture of a family in Fontaine's office. In this picture there is a man who looks similar to Fontaine. Is this his family? or what? Thought Fontaine never had one. He told Jack in Bioshock he might get one after their fight.
Also, would have been cool to see his plans for his Atlas' persona and the WYK code scribble on the wall in his hideyhole.
That i indeed a big secret yea..

Lets wait for DLC or BS3 if BS2 sells good.. hopefully a prequel or between BS1 and 2

I found three Fontaine (including the one in his office) diaries and 2 were in Dionysus Park, in that ice chamber and a room in Siren Alley. Didn't find anything that explained that picture though.
Hurm. I have to go and look for the rest of the diaries. I thought I did well... then I realized that there were 128 of them.
That one diary when you hear Fontaine become Atlas... gods, that was epic. I fangasmed.
I'm not ashamed to admit I did too :P The Atlas voice is still by far my favorite in game voice EVER. It's followed closely by the Lutwidge and Lynch voice actors from SitS. I missed Atlas in this game though and that voice switch mad e me happy.
Bumping this in case someone else who has completed BS2 can shed light on this picture.
Pretty sure its meant to be Tenenbaum and Jack. The paparazzi assumed Tenenbaum and Fontaine were daying anyway, and Fontaine loves to hide things in plain sight.
I actually thought Sinclair might be Fontaine. He mentions how all a guy has to do is change his voice (accent) and get a new face. Obviously he was referring to Atlas but he could have also undergone a new transformation.
That does sound a lot like Fontaine, come to think of it. Very sneaky.

I didn't know the picture was called the Fontaine Family. It might not be Tenebaum and Jack then. Also when comparing the potraits of Tenebaum and the woman, they look very different, not like the Tenenbaum in Rapture's Best and Brightest 1952.
I think I might change my mind and say that's Fontaine's Mum and Dad and Fontaine is the kid in the middle.

Sure, Fonhtaine was getting the gravy from Tenenbaum and raised and taught Jack everything he knows!!
Okay, it might just be his parents, but I still like the other idea better. That's the thing with Fontaine, he never explains anything until he's 100% sure he's gotten away with it. That's why he hides all his audio diaries in places nioone else should be able to reach. Perhaps there's an audio diary called 'The Fontaine Family' hidden in his secret base underneath Ryan Amusements.
That's what I assumed. It had me confused when I first saw it, the woman bares no resemblance to Tenenbaum, and I would think Tenenbaum would try to avoid contact with Fontaine as much as she could, not have a portrait of them painted together.
