    Just Completed The Game.....

Really enjoyed it but..............I am very confused . who was Delta then?, that johnny topside person?, and was he really Eleanor's father?, and what happened to tenenbaum?,

I think Eleanor was conceived in a tube something as in one of her audio diaries she says something about obviously taken less role in her birth and from 'natures crude bias'.

Delta was said to be a deep-sea diver who discovered Rapture by accident and Ryan was paranoid he was working for a secret agency so instead of letting him going back to the surface and spreading news about Rapture he was placed as a test subject for the Big Daddy program.

No idea what happened to Tennebaum, it's like she vanished right from the grid.

I think in gaming terms Tenenbaum was just a cameo role.

  4. Aye, agree about Tennenbaum. Feels like she was knid of ripped out fo the story, now I think about it. Luckily I didn't before, as I had so many other things to concentrate on.

The thing I don't understand is from right at the beginning. I'll spoiler tag it anyway, just incase it references part of the ending.

The splicers are attacking the little sister (presumably Ellie), and you kill all but one. He uses Hypnotise Big Daddy, which makes him appear as a little sister. Then Sofia Lamb turns up and makes you kill yourself? What is she doing? Can someone explain this whole bit to me? (I think I got the "good" ending, if this has anything to do with it (Let Grace live, killed Stanley, killed Alex the Great))

Unless... throughout the game, you're still affected by Hypnotise Big Daddy, and the WHOLE time, Ellie is just a splicer and you're playing into Sofia's hands the whole time?! DUN DUN DUN!

I get the feeling that even after finishing the game..there are still many questions to be answered? , was Delta just some random dude?, ther wasn't anything special about him etc. just seemed like in the wrong place, at the wrong time. for months we all wanted to know who Delta was...and seemed like a bit of an anti climax ..and why did Eleanor kill you? in the end?, Delta was still alive... nothing had really been explained

So, maybe to help clarify, because it sounds like you didn't hear the verbal references to Delta's condition, or the associated effects:

Eleanor doesn't kill you. You're already dying from Lamb having broken your pair bond with her, and the brutal pressure of the rise to the surface. Eleanor saves your thoughts and memories, in effect, absorbing you - at least, in the ending I'm assuming you got.

Delta was an explorer from the surface who discovered the city and was press-ganged into service as a Big Daddy.

The "Who is Delta" question was something that I think fans naturally gravitate toward, but our focus was more on taking you, the player, and shaping Eleanor with your choices. In part, because the question "Who am I" was kind of the plot of the first game, and this game is more about your legacy as a 'father' figure.

Holy crap, it usually takes YEARS to corner the director for a straight answer about something plot-related, especially if its about the ending!!

I liked the ending where E abosrbs you. I really like that she saved her mom.
It was kinda confusing until I thought about it. And I think it does justice to the game.

I was kinda hoping to see what was inside the big daddy helmet though

Wow, I was 99% sure Stanley was just spouting B.S. at you, but I guess I was wrong. Thanks for the clarification!

I'm pretty happy Delta was just some random person to be honest, after Jack being a rather important person, it'd feel a little stale if we're playing another heir or something similar :P

during the good ending does Sofia Lamb Die because it looks like she is drowning then Elenore puts something on her face (which i presume is an oxygen mask). Im asking this because she was not in the final cutscene.

I assume that she lived. I think Eleanor says something about forgiveness or showing mercy at the exact moment that it happens. I think we should probably assume that she did live.

Okay, so from what I can gather, the Splicers were hired by Sofia because she knew that Elanor was bonded to you, and she wanted her back. So, one day, on your daily rounds as a Big Daddy, the Splicers ambushed you and, under Sofia's orders, hypnotized you. The Splicer that you mentioned, the one that "turned into a little sister" was actually Ellie, not a Splicer (He just went away, I guess? XD). So then Sofia used the hypnotize plasmid to make you kill yourself, thereby making it much easier for her to take Elanor and free her of her little sister conditioning. And, while she did that, Elanor was hopelessly watching you die, unable to do anything about it. Poor Ellie.

He is the One The Erudite. And he will write lots of great game stories in the future.

We just have to be patient...
