Go to My Computer > Local C drive > Program Files > Common Files > Right click on the Installshield Folder > Choose rename > Press end on the keyboard and then type Old and press enter. Now please try and install the game again.

    Hi again.

I have tried renaming the installshield folder, even tried to move it to another drive, but i still get the same error message.
The folder is not in the Programfiles folder though, it's in the Programfiles (x86), does that matter ?

Being in (x86) just means you have a 64bit windows.

Have you ever had the game installed or has the installation ever started before without the error message?

    Hi again

The error occurred the first time i tried to install the game, so no previous install, or error free partial install. I also get the amse error message if i try to install on my laptop.

I have downloaded it twice, and wouldn't the zip be corrupted if it was a faulty dl ?

I had to uninstall the dl manager from d2d though, and use firefox to get it to connect.

    I really wouldn't know, I haven't a clue how D2D works. I was just throwing ideas out =)

    Here is the fix!

Okay so this is what you need to do:

After you download the game do not unzip using windows. Use an unzip program such as 7-zip or jZip if the file is a .zip file. These are both free. We have tested both 7-zip v4.62 and jZip v1.3.0.56665. After unzipping try to install. This worked for me. Good luck!

    Waait a sec - doesn't x86 denote 32 bit, while x86-64 - 64 bit operating systems?
