Thread: Absolutly love the multiplayer

    Exclamation Absolutly love the multiplayer

Havent started with sp yet, tought i should try mp for an hour or two, and it's a blast.
I'm one of those gamers that always want to see mp in games, i like to share the gameexperience with others a-like and also, the games longlivity multiplies with 10 if it has mp.
So i'm very glad the dev's decided to add in mp and also to make it almost exactly like singleplayer, not removing plasmids, upgrades, big daddy's, turrets, ventmachines etc.

I bow to 2K for an awesome mp expierence and to an even better sp (once i try it out)

I think it is a total blast, totally got sidetracked from the campaign to play it. It is NOTHING like MW2.

Multiplayer is definitely functional. I played a few rounds today and I generally enjoyed the experience, though I'm expecting that cheaters will eventually become an issue for people on the PC.

Balance-wise it seems to be fair. Even though I was matched up with people 10+ levels above me in a few cases I think it's more about the lack of players right now than a flawed matchmaking system.

Progression seems fast. I went from level 1-4 in a couple of games. In addition I was thrilled to see that the game still counts your earned adam when the game drops due to connectivity issues.

I tried MP at the lunch time, but didnīt find enough players to start the Civil War match... so I got anxious and cancelled, and played the SP.

See ya tonight dudes, on MP, letīs kicks some splicers ass!

Counter Strike came out in 2004 and it's still one of the most played MP games on the PC.

I am really loving it too. Does anyone know if there is a "mute all" option on PSN? I am getting sick of stupid kids cursing/singing.

Yeah, so did I, but I think the level-ups will slow down and require more points the higher you go. I'm guessing it's just to get everyone going on giving people some options for their Loaders. Part of the strategy of MP is definitely going to be the restrictions of what you choose to put in your Loaders, once you have a lot to choose from at higher levels.

I had the chance to play 5 or 6 rounds this morning, but then I had to go to work. Hoping to play more tonight and see how it goes. I'm not that great at multiplayer - I always get owned - but I've found it a fun experience so far.

At the very minimum - it's a real treat to have a multiplayer experience in one of my all-time favourite game worlds. Can't wait to play more, hopefully get a bit better, and see how it turns out once I start moving up to higher levels.

Digital Extremes actually developed BS2's multiplayer, not 2K.

Oh yeah, I was looking for that too on the PC side. I just want to mute all the headset chatter - in fact, I don't need to waste bandwidth on it, I want to turn it completely off. Anyone know how to do that?

I'm disappointed about the fact that me and my sister share an xbox so we were looking forward to playing multiplayer together but it appears as if only one person can play the multiplayer. :/

I didn't like the multiplayer, but I have played around 8 hours of the Campaign. The Rivet gun is pimp.

I'm really enjoying the multiplayer so far, yes it's really easy to level up, but other than that no complaints at all. The customization is simple yet great.

I've been looking, and I haven't found any mic options at all. I'd really like a mute option patched in as soon as humanly possible. The lack of cheat protection and the lack of mic options are the two dark spots on an otherwise glowing multiplayer experience.

Cheaters are not an issue on steam. I dont know why the console crowed believes such lies.

Bioshock doesn't use VAC, just a heads up. There's no specifically included anti-cheat system.

Further, even if the game did include VAC for steam users, not all PC sales of Bioshock 2 were through steam.

Counter-Strike came out way before 2004, I was playing it back in 1999 actually. The sole reason I chose the location of my first apartment back then was because it had access to cable internet and I wanted a lower ping in CS.

Super-Duper laggy is more like it. The physics are still capped @ 12 frames per second, the mouse sensitivity/acceleration are 6 kinds of f*cked up, bunnyhopping is not only annoying with the lag but the more people do it the worse the server lags because of all the -/+ vertical motion coordinates needing updated.

No host migration sucks. Getting dropped repeatedly because of ragequitters sucks.

This game needs ALOT of work before it can call itself a "good" multiplayer game.

Old thread is old, especially when it's bumped to start a snark fest. I'm going to close this one.
