    Install Oddities

Got the game at Gamestop's midnight release (PC) and after the install it never asked for the cd key or placed a shortcut to the desktop (not a big deal at all) and didn't activate online, my fiber was connected to my laptop. Anyone else have this happen as well? I've played for about 3 hours now with no issues either...humm why the cd key?

    Loving the game btw

    Specs:
    Vista prem 64 bit
    6GB ddr3
    ati 4850 1 GB

Ive the same issue with installation, no asking for CD Key at all.

The only other problem - slightly large one i know -
Bioshock 2 will not play at all......

    Nvidia Geforce 8600GS

I'm guessing that the key is only needed if you go Live.

I installed my PC copy without a hitch... I watched it connect and activate, as my DSL modem is right on top of my PC case, I can see the activity lights. I didn't have to put in a key since I only set up an offline profile for now. I fired it up and played a suicide run for an hour or so.

My single autosave is even in a sensible place. Documents/Bioshock2/SaveGames.

You burnt an activation on GFWL when you installed it. Obviously you're using an offline profile.

The only other option that remains is the 2k Liz has no clue when it comes to explaining how DRM works. If this is the case, and you don't need an internet connection to install and play the game (even for a second)... then a lot of people will be happy.

You should be asked for a CD Key when logging into GFWL with an online profile.

Change to an online profile by pressing the Home Key and signing out of your offline profile
