I've happened to see some people reporting the same problem on win7, does it include a problem signature? If so, can you post it please?

Have you tried deleting your saved games yet? I've read somewhere that that helps with fixing it. I believe the problem is with "Live".

    Bioshock 2 savegames obviously.

I believe there is an autosave option, no?

Delete the save games and try again.

At least that's what fixed it for a couple of other people with win7.

Do you crash also when you do not login into Live?

And do you use a Live account online or an offline one?

bioshock is the only 2k game i have ever installed also.....i think this bug is a mass issue.....and i think it has to do with windows 7

because i also tried to use my wireles reciever for my 360 control and the reciever does not even work with windows 7

we all feared this with windows 7.......

OHHHHH....AHHHHHH windows 7...wonder whats compatable. we find out wats compatible after the fact instead of before

This being the only 2k game you have installed isn't the issue.

As for the reciever, it's true numerous hardware still does not have any win7 drivers, but I believe vista drivers work in some cases.

Edit: If it's for multiplayer then it obviously doesn't have to do with the save files

    Hi,

Right-click Computer > Manage. Select the Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application.

You should find "error" messages regarding BioShock 2 in there. Please can you copy + paste the info in here?

I take it from the info you're running an nvidia card, yes?

    How old are the drivers?

    no worries.

appears to be an nvidia problem, if you're running SLI, try updating your drivers if you haven't already, seems they released new drivers containing BioShock 2 (SLI) support.

Can I steal you yet to help in my topic Jamie? :P

This looks like a BIG BUG, too many peoples are experiencing trouble under W7. You can expect something like that from a small software house. Not from 2K.
I'm disappointed. Why all the company do beta tests after the official release?

let me get this straight, youve got a very old geforce 8600, which the drivers were out of date for, which it took windows update to help you update your video card drivers, and thats fixed your crashes? well im not surprised.

but that doesnt help my crashes with

    win vista 32 bit
    i7
    gtx 295 driver version 196.34

See my previous post about my HW.
Installed BS2 under virtual machine Windows XP Pro SP2, working fine, no crash (!!!!) but graphic quality is very very low. I saved the game after the end of the first level (start of the second one), moved the savegame to the W7 machine and try to load. Crashing again

Going back to gamestop, buy another game.
Maybe i will buy BS2 the next months, when the 2K will fix those problems. That's a shame, i bought the special edition cause BS1 was one of my favourite FPS.
