    How does Delta switch weapons?

I'm guessing the drill isn't attached to the big daddy's hand, but where does the drill go when you switch weapons?

Dude think about it IF Games were to realistic Then we wouldnt be able to reload in the middle of clips and we would have only two weapons so if you want a answer that sounds like some CUTE But stupid reason like well the little sister holds and so forth and whatever then yeah but same reason in the first game because its more fun that way

probably nowhere, a lot of games do that and i like that because then you can hold like 10 weapons. Resistance 1 did that and then in the 2nd game they changed it to 2 weapons only

Yeah, there's really no explanation possible. It's just something about video games. I mean there's no way for Delta to carry so many giant weapons at the same time. He'd need to push them around in a wheel barrow or something.

you do not question the drill. the drill is all their is and all their ever will be. the drill can see into your heart. THE DRILL CAN SEE INTO YOUR SOUL.... but im assuming theres some sort of slot to holster it.....

He uses telekinesis and carries his drills, eve hypos, booze, little sisters and groceries in a magic bag at a safe distance which is guarded by an old friend of Delta's called.. Bob! Oh, and did I mention that Bob is a dog! Holy crap! And hes also spliced up, and he uses an aero dash to catch those pesky Houdini Splicers pet cats off guard!
Bob used to be a narc dog in Raptures bathyspheres customs. But after his wife got in a tragic accident at the Sinclair Spirits Bob was never the same again..
Wait, what were we talking about again?

For that matter where the heck did Jack carry all his weapons? At least Delta is probably strong enough to carry all his weapons at once... can you imagine a mere human carrying a pistol, a shotgun, a tommy gun, a crossbow, a frickin' grenade launcher, a chemical thrower, a wrench, and a research camera? Not to mention all the extra ammo for said weapons? In addition to up to 9 First Aid Kits, 9 EVE Hypos, and all the ADAM you can carry?

The explanation for both Delta and Jack is Hammerspace. It's mostly accessed by cartoon characters for the purpose of whacking someone with a hammer (hence the name), anvil, etc., but Jack and Delta were both granted access to the infinite and always accessible storage ability of Hammerspace.

    backpack?
It's the age old question, the question that's been asked since the dawn of games.

    First:
I am glad that I'm not the only person that wondered this.

    Second:
The "where do all the guns go" question comes up in any shooter. No, it does not make any sense that you can carry 10+ guns. I think the question we should be asking, for BioShock 2 at least, is "How does a Big Daddy, with a drill mounted to his arm, switch to a gun?" I thought maybe it would be a transformer-style change where the drill would morph into a gun.

    Third:
Am I the only person who felt that this game should have been a prequel? How cool would it have been to play through the downfall of Rapture. I know the multiplayer of BioShock 2 is supposed to be about just that, but I would have loved a single-player game to really flesh out that story.

I couldn't agree with you more my friend. I would have loved to play through the civil war of rapture as an ordinary citizen. It would be cool to choose your side too, like to fight for fontine(atlas) or for ryan.

    This is important:

For anyone who plays any video games, watches any films, reads any works of fiction, there is a very pertinent term to this kind of thing, and everyone should make themselves familiar with it:

    Suspension of Disbelief

Basically, it means this: "You're playing a game set in a sprawling, dystopian city illogically built under miles of ocean. People shoot lightning from their hands and crawl on the ceiling. Things levitate, and there are technological advancements evident that are fairly out of place in a late 1950's-late 1960's setting, much less even in a modern-day setting. You've already pretty much signed an understood contract saying 'This crap is all basically impossible, but I'm cool with that cuz I'm here for the ride'. It doesn't matter where his weapons are coming from, because it's all (dramatic pause)... MAKE BELIEVE."

So, in short, you're all in breach of contract, and your licenses to enjoy fictional entertainment have been officially revoked.

    Signed,

    -The Management,
    Dept. of Imagination
