Why is There not a Web plasmid in Bioshock?

Stab yourself with eve then shoot out a stream of spider webs that tie up enemies, or cover their eyes and blind them briefly (works well on big daddies) and use it to tie up turrets and stuff. Seems like it fits perfectly in rapture but yet for some reason it is not in ither Bioshock 1 or 2. Mabye 2k forgot exactly how much potential and crazy stuff they could do with plasmids? mabye they felt they where ripping off spider - man and cancled it? (which would be dumb)

All Im saying is why the heck is their no web plasmid???

web plasmid could tie up enemies, blind them, heck even web them to a celling or stick them to a roof by webbing them up then switching to telekenises and throwing them to a wall or cyling wich they would then stick to until the web rips. Make traps like a bunch of web on the floor that enemies feet would get stuck in or web the walls that enemies would get stuck in until they rip free (this would be an upgrade for the plasmid ofcourse) then set the web on fire or electricute it.

A web plasmid should have been in this game, heck even more then the Bee plasmid!!

    btw sorry for spelling.

It's not a bad idea but with that reasoning why isn't there an acid plasmid, a sunlight plasmid, a sandstorm plasmid, a water-jet plasmid, a shock-wave plasmid, a razor plasmid, a shield plasmid or a lava plasmid?
the list could go on forever but the point is all the plasmids in bioshock 2 are boiled down versions of all those things, they need to be functional and simple.

This. And, it does share a bit too much in common with you-know-who.

another point is that it would be the least powerful out of the the trap you can make in bs2 because it deals no damage and forces you to use ammo or more plasmids to finish the splicer off.

cyclone trap is an efficient trap because it deals decent damage on it's and it can be charged with any other plasmid you want for multiple scenarios. trap rivets deal instant damage, as do trap spears and mini turrets.

    very true

I hope the bee plasmid can function with other plasmids in this game too like set your own bees on fire so they do more damage to enemies lol idk how that would work though :P

A web plasmid.... Well all i will say is this... COPYRIGHT!!!

The web thing belongs to Marvel with Spiderman and if they were to make a web plasmid it would probably have the same hand action as spiderman's.

Im not attacking you but i also had an idea of it. Its just 2k would have to pay for the use of that hand action and effect.

I have to agree with what Panda said, you could make up any type of plasmid. A Plasmid that shots out yellow teddy bears of death.

lol yea the arsenal of plasmids have alot of potential, who is to say they are limited to your left hand? mabye their could be a plasmid that turns you into a giant adam slug or something lol..

...Why do I now have the feeling that a giant adam slug might be a boss battle in the future of rapture? :O

Maybe a barbed wire plasmid (or a similar substance) instead of webs? Was originally developed for home defence or industrial and artistic purposes or something, but was changed into a more "barbed wire" type of substance when the war became inevitable?
