that may just be music added by gametrailers to spice up the video a little bit and not 2ks in game music, i say this because its and interview and not just a trailer or anything like that.

I believe the music in that video was provided by GameTrailers. The game isn't going for an orchestral score as you might expect from other military shooters; instead it's a post-rock soundtrack, raw guitar-heavy stuff that we feel fits the tone of the game just right.

So more the type of music MAG uses. It really fits the genre of the game in my opinion, for both MAG and Spec Ops of course.

    my opinion

i think this game should go for an orchestral score because of its story , in this game they portray war as art. the reason mag has that genre is because its a mp game where you really want action tunes while your fighting in a hurry.

but just think, the missions for this game will they really be better with heavy metal like soundtrack that pump up your adrenaline or orchestral which will create the mood and suspense of the game. this game features a destroyed city which houses many desperate survivors with you having to make a dramatic choice at each corner , this game deserves a slow , simple , and unique set of soundtracks which will give you more feeling when you play the game.

i think silent hill is a wonderful idea , for example if the sound track wasn't creepy and the main tracks beautiful do you think this game would be still that famous.

But hey , everyone has their own opinion.

i would like to know what kind of soundtracks do you think you would prefer in this game and why.

I find the music in games to be one of my favorite parts, that is, licensed tracks as well as original score/music.

Spec Ops, sounds like it is going to be spectacular.

I hope at least one song has an Arabian influence or many songs. When I was in Dubia on both my tours. It just had this wonderful cultural music from the area I was at.

Is there any chance you could give some hints as to one or two tracks that would be on it? Reading this immediately made me perk up and think "Tool? Maybe there's some Tool! They're guitar heavy!" Then again, that could just be the Tool fangirl in my begging for something

Ahh... I really wanted an orchestral score.

I just hope that the rock that it's being played isn't all that heavy.

By the way, was that Nolan North's voice? Because it didn't sound like him at all.

There are lots of other great military-themed shooters with orchestral scores. We're going for something different and I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised by what you hear -- you'll have to let me know. Check my response in the other thread about the music if you want to know more.

Nolan North is indeed cast as the voice of Captain Martin Walker, the game's protagonist. It doesn't sound like what you've come to expect from Nolan North because the character is written very differently from the types of characters that Nolan North is best known for -- Captain Walker just isn't a wise-cracking sort of guy, and when faced with bad situations, he's not quick to lean on humor to break the tension.

I think Nolan North is one of the best voice actors in the business, so as a fan of his work, it's been really cool to hear him in a relatively serious role. He's amazing as Nathan Drake in the Uncharted games, and hopefully The Line will prove to fans of those games (who already know how talented he is) that he has a lot of range as an actor.

i was hoping for moody music that would fuel the tension of the game, but if it fits then fine by me!
