    Non-Spliced Runthrough

I did a search, and couldn't find this topic anywhere, so, crosssing fingers, here it goes...

Does anyone think it would be possible to run through the whole multiplayer campaign without excessive splicing, possibly only using weapons and certain upgrade aspects of the game?
One might call it going through the multiplayer campaign "pure" i guess.
Has there been any word on this?
I know everyone's going to want to splice, but I would love to see the challenge in not splicing, and still leveling you know? maybe when I'm finished with one character.
    discuss?

isn't "splicing" just leveling up your character and it gets uglier and uglier each level you go up?

well from what i gathered, you "earn" adam when you kill and level up. My question here is just asking how easy and possible it would be to access the bulk of the entire game without spending adam up plasmids, and whatever other powerups i guess they offer.

I think that the way they're doing it, from what I understand, is that in multiplayer ADAM will just be what the game calls EXP. So you get more ADAM in your system as you complete objectives and whatnot, so no matter what, you splice.

Of course, that was my understanding of it, I could be completely off. xD

yeah that sounds about right, that's how i gathered it.
but don't you get to choose what to spend that adam on?
couldnt you choose not to spend it on anything, for the challenge. and continue to progress?

It would be fun to see what will happen if you don't splice. To see if the character will change or not.

it does sound difficult, but so does playing bioshock 2 single player on the final difficulty without dying. It's possible, just really challenging.
I like to be incredibly challenged, it extends the replay value a tad.
P.S, my first character is going to be spliced to hell.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that you can't go through without your character getting spliced-up. From what I've read the more ADAM you gain the more spliced you get, regardless if you spend it or not. Oh, and there is no "too spliced-up" for my Suresh Sheti, he will be the best looking abomination around.

Heheh ugh yea , i was looking at some of the achievments/trpohies for Bio 2 , and i think its going to be tough to get a platinum cause of all the difficult ones.

Not to mention i would shortly liek to see a leaked copy of the EXP tables for MP , that way we can sort of set out a time-frame it will take to become a level 40 = )

This seems difficult for multiplayer. But it a more interesting challenge to try to get through single player without using plasmids/tonics.

ive done it in bioshock before, but I just power wrenched it. I used tonics though, but no plasmids. Lots of people have done it before.
that's why i was wondering more about bioshock 2 multiplayer.

it is relevant actually. I want there to be a way to go through multiplayer as so, for the same reason anyone goes through Bioshock (1) without plasmids. It gives it more of a sense of freedom in playing your own way.

well of course im going to splice my first character. That's always fun. But like i said, it would add more freedom to the game if you were able to do this. More freedom=more replay value?
