Why's Delta in Hibernation? *Spoilers*

I'm sure this theory has been thrown around somewhere before, but here it is.

We all know Delta was frozen because of something that happened involving Eleanor.

We also know that Suchong was the one who was working on the protection bonds.

Delta, being the first bonded Big Daddy may not have been bonded at all... Perhaps Suchong was trying to REPLICATED the bond Delta shared with his little sister... or in this case

HIS DAUGHTER! If Eleanor was Delta's daughter, that would explain the protection bond. It wasn't chemical. It wasn't something Suchong needed to figure out, it was something he needed to REPRODUCE. So, in the audio diary where suchong talks about the protection bond, Eleanor is the little girl in the background. Delta is the one that drills the Sonova***** to the table. It makes sense because he didn't have the bond figured out completely yet CHEMICALLY, but the bond would've already existed with Delta.

Which leads me back to why Delta is in Hibernation.
Because he killed Suchong. Tennanbaum would have known all about it AND how to pull you out of it just as she helped Jack with Lot-22.

Am I way off base here?

ya that's my theory as well although i never thought of delta being her real daddy a good idea though. although there are a few holes in it (like all the other theories). I am actually kind of hoping I'm wrong I always secretly hoped that somehow Suchong survived so we could meet him in the game. like why his (supposed corpse) is still fresh looking and why the drill is smoking like it was recently used (fact of the day friction cause heat)

I like this idea. However I wouldn't like it if delta was originally Lamb's husband. For the story to be realistic it wouldn't make much sense for delta to go against his wife, so they'd need to explain that somehow. Also because I hate lamb.

Actually, it would make sense.

That's why Sophia is so huge on the "Rapture Family." Because she lost her own family. Which is why, in her eyes, Delta strives for himself "Alone, amongst the dead." because he became a BD with Eleanor and left her to fend for herself. Maybe because he shared Ryan's ideals, and he was a political rival of hers, so she took it very personally.

If that's the case though, and Eleanor is the Big Sister, and the Big Sister is Sophia's hand, then that leaves MANY more questions wide open.

delta is acctually gordon freeman, and he was busy saving the world in the future, so that would explain him bieng missing, and he and chuck norris had a baby named sophia and then sophia had a baby with jayson statham macking an ultamite super bieng!!!!!!!!!

ok,I was going to just post...but instead I decided to read through what everyone else said first



anyway...I have to agree that perhaps Delta is the one who killed Suchong(also I don't think the ''smoke'' around the drill in Suchong's lab in B1 is from heat..I think it's really just dust/dirt in the air as when you go to Eve's Garden there's ''smoke'' over the stage with no real reason to it) and I think Delta was shutdown or brought down because of this and placed in somewhere for storage before the events of B1.

I think this theory makes sense,from what Sofia says in the 1rst TV trailier for B2... ''Your sacrifice is nothing.Out of your pain paradise was born. Like all I have done,this is an act of love"
