Thread: Will there be an editor tool for Bioshock 2?

Will there be an editor tool for Bioshock 2?

I was extremely disappointed with the lack of mod tools in Bioshock. Will we see any editing tools at all for Bioshock 2, or at least a multiplayer map creation tool?

2K has announced that the PC version will come with extra features, and wouldn't be a standard port. An article about the PC version supposed to come out soon.

I know 3D Vision has been announced, I'm not sure if a map creator is planned.

I hope they release some sort of level editor/SDK. I would love to see what types of maps people would come up with.

    Jordan said the following:

"We have an internal map editor for BioShock 2, but no news on plans to release it."

It would be cool if the community got an editor for multiplayer. If you guys like Bioshock check out this mod for Unreal Tournament 99.

    http://www.thieveryut.com

It's a stealth action FPS game and it has an editor included with every copy of UT 99. (Which goes for pennies on the dollar in Ebay)

It has a small community. The objective of the game is to play as a Thief or Guard. Thieves break into places and take away loot while completing objectives.

Guards try to prevent the thieves with a variety of tools and traps. The Artifically Intelligence is well done as well. Custom voices, textures, and maps are found in the mod.

It definitely would be a nice feature to have, but based on the comments from Jordan I'm not going to get my hopes up about that. Of course they're already sky high for the rest of the game.
