Subtitle for voices is way fast in many of the scenes...

This is yet another problem from the demo that I thought would've been fixed for the actual version. For me, the text subtitles for almost every scene are way too ahead of the actual voices. Is there a way to adjust the subtitles so that they come across correctly, or better yet is there a fix for that? Most gamers probably don't see it as a big deal but I find it useful especially when a character is talking softly or if there is heavy action noise in the background.

*Bump* Guess the ol' subtitles were even less important than I thought. ><

I haven't played the full game myself but if you have I'm pretty pissed they aren't fixed from the demo. I always use sub-titles.

I have played the demo and about 15 minutes of the game before having to run off. The subtitles had about the same amount of speed (meaning they were still too fast just like the demo). On the bright side that'll probably be an easy thing to patch, but yeah, even a friend confirmed their subs were to speedy.

Honestly this pisses me off. They have been making the game for this long and they didn't even test to see if the subtitles worked correctly?

Looks deep into his crystal ball....

*See's a press release obviously written by a marketing monkey, claiming FOV will be fixed 'soon'(soon could mean days,or months) and that other issues are being 'looked into'.And any and all that can help are working around the clock to fix this* (Not) 'See's that the forum will continue to get hammered by newbs and experts alike.

And oh yeah, the subs race by a little to fast according to my good wife.

I also noticed this same issue in the demo. It's quite annoying, as the voices aren't always clear with an air conditioner going next to me.

Here's a potential workaround that may help a bit. You can see the text of any radio messages (or logs) that you missed by looking in the pause menu. If you missed information, that can help clear it up.

    Good luck!

Same for LE for Xbox 360

The limited edition version for the Xbox 360 has the same stubtitle problem. The subtitles are only synced with the beginning of the audio sequence. Any dialog after that and it's out of sync. It just keeps on displaying the subtitles, so the subtitles finish before the actual audio dialog.
I really hope they fix this as I have a hard time understanding the dialogs.

This problem is very ridiculous, you make a game that's perfect in every way but you can't sync the subtitles with dialogs ! What a success, congratulations

I was really thinking of buying a legal copy of this game but not anymore, if the problem won't be solved within a week...

I got my European xbox 360 copy of BioShock yesterday. And yup, the subtitles are off (ahead of the spoken text), which isn't that great. I ran english voice / english subs.

    fix it, please

Adding my voice to this. Just activated the EU Steam version of Bioshock, and the subtitles still run fast just like in the demo.

    re:

    Confirmed!

The subtitles are speeding too fast in both the Demo, as well as in the full version release.

Hope it will be fixed soon since its really frustrating.

    Please, sync the subtitles

Yes, lets hope they fix it in both, the 360 and PC versions.
