Black Boxes during opening scene (not demo)

Just so I can eliminate some of the usual responses:
I am playing the full version of Bioshock through steam, not the demo version.
I have updated my graphic drivers to the drivers that 2K recommends from the nvidia site that list the drivers for Bioshock specifically.

    The problem:
I also noticed this issue during the demo but I assumed that it was a glitch that was worked out in the final version. The problem is that during the introductory scene (after the bioshock logo shows but before you start playing) several large black boxes appear across the screen blocking your view of the scene. I don't know if this happens during any of the other cinemas as I've not gotten far enough into the game to find out.

So are other players experiencing this problem and are there any fixes for it?

Might be a video card problem. Make sure your card has enough airflow/coolant. Also check to see that your CPU temp isn't very high.

    Thanks.

    Asus A8N SLI Mobo
    2x Nvidia 7800 GTX
2x GB Corsair Extreme Gaming Memory
    Windows XP Pro

Anything besides that matter? My bios/drivers/OS are all up to date too. Graphics settings all set to what's preferred by my monitor. Honestly I have tried everything I can think of... of course so far it's jsut been that one intro scene in both the real game and the demo so I guess I should be grateful.

Your card probably doesn't have shader model 3.0.
