UPDATE for people with ATI Cards !!

For the ones that are using an ATI based video card, make sure you get this driver :
    http://www.3dacc.net/forums/f35/ati-...k-hotfix-2607/

I don't know what it fixes since i'm running Nvidia.
    But i think it's worth a try !
    Maybe you'll get AA fixed...

Nope. ATI's problems stem from the fact that they don't support Shader Model 3.0 on some of the slightly older cards. The hotfix won't cure that.

Because the cards are too old to support it

    simple as that

anakin what do I do, when I install the fix the installer asks me if I want to overwrite a newer file

The hotfix did fix the texture issue where the floors were a solid black. However, I cannot get down the bathysphere, everytime the little projector starts up the game freezes and won't go past. I've been trying to get my pc up and running with this game and it's been nothing but a headache.

    Running AMD Athlon 5600+ 2.8Ghz
    ASUS M2N-E SLI Motherboard
ATI Radeon HD2600XT (updated with ATI's 'hotfix')
    2GB Ram
    Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit

I'm seriously thinking of just taking the game back to the retailer, I mean honestly, this is ridiculous. I've done everything as far as resetting all the settings back to factory defaults, patching the driver, tweaking settings and still it won't work....Every single other game I have works perfectly fine. They need to patch this, and patch it fast. Otherwise word of mouth is going to spread and it isn't going to be good...

I cant get either of those fixes to work.

    No Worky...

Chalk My Dual SLI - ATI X850XT cards onto the bonfire. Great FPS on most games, just no shader 3.0 which kinda marks them as useless.

I like how irrational made a game that pretty much is a big sod off to most PC users. If it was PC only they would have made the game compatible with everything, instead, they focused on the 360. Who cares about PC people, they arent worth our money.

so, i guess it was inevitable that we would have to update our comps to run these future games. i guess i'll update and switch back to nvidia. so i have a ATI Radeon 9550 / X1050 Series, AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+

what would i need to do/get/buy to make the conversion to a new nvidia system? good/bad idea?
