play3 have made a game-play video of bioshock 2 with some interesting details.
there has been some difficulty finding the original source but judge said i could describe what happens in the video while he and the other mods figure it out.

WARNING MINOR SPOILERS FOLLOW

- there is a security lock down when on one of your under water excursions for reasons as yet unknown which prevents you from proceeding. this is the reason that you enter siren alley, you must find pumping station #5 and supposedly drain the next area.

- there is a new vending machine called the " eve dispenser ". ( name on the tin )

- when fighting the big sister you can shoot her full of harpoons and eventually she will look like a porcupine on a bad hair day.

- winter blast now manifests itself on the players hand in the form of a white mist instead of icicles, when used it lets out a "shock-wave" of sub-zero coolness

- we now have a full harvest sequence, the little sister is more defiant this time around, but delta gets what he wants in the end. when he has the Adam slug in his hand he squishes it to death and eats it...

Just Saw It and I Must Say Beautiful.
The way You can harvest Adam from the bottom of the sea is pretty cool no more of the little sisters to depend on am I Right, Well you still have to but its helpful knowing you can get a little more from another source am I right ? .
Also The big sister does look like a porke-pine lol And everything else is pretty cool I JUST HOPE They at least have one knew plasmid didn't see any new ones I Mean I Know they do different stuff but I Would like at least one knew one you know But other than that I Cant wait I Pre-ordered the special edition for the 360.
I Just wonder why its always in another language and why its always some damn D-Bag talking over the game play all the time.

Sorry for the inconvenience. It's tough on us, too, but we're doing the best we can.

Leaked vids could contain major spoilers that would ruin your game experience. We would be remiss if we didn't make an effort to protect our members from that.

Or, a leaked video could be a violation of copyright. If we allow everything to be posted here, we would not only be breaking the law but also violating distribution agreements 2K has made with various media outlets.

Finally, you do not have to ask for permission for every new video. If you are linking to a reputable gaming news site (say Gamespot or IGN, for example), you are good to go. When you are linking to a Youtube video, as in this case, that throws up red flags. If it's legit, why use Youtube at all? It may be an offiical Youtube channel for a gaming site, but the same video should be hosted on their main site as well. Other videos have been problematical because they originate from overseas, and our primarily English-speaking mod team isn't familiar with these sites and has to check with 2K for approval.

This video might be okay, but until we know for sure, it is against the rules to ask for links. I'm surprised at how many people did that, since they all should know better.

This was clearly laid out in the rules HERE:

Which is a continuation of the policy we've had in place since April or May. We had to ask folks to stop posting magazine scans (violation of copyright) and to stop asking for links.

It's frustrating, but bear with us. As an official site, we can't just do whatever we feel like. We have to respect the rules.

Besides, everyone will be flooded with info soon enough, based on past experience. Exclusive info never stays exclusive for long.

We tend to not like youtube links if there is an official, intended source for the video since we are denying them of clicks/ad views, etc and they are the ones that created the video (with the sweat of their brow). Since the intended source for the video was a CD that came with the magazine, posting the link could deny them potential magazine sales.

It's unfortunate, but if that video is posted to their website later on, a link can be posted.

No. Actually, you're wrong. Legitimate sources are bound by copyright law not to release previews that are given in good faith to reporters. If they do, they break a contract and all sorts of legal jargon gets thrown around. You won't see it anywhere other than You Tube (and maybe only for a good ten minutes before Take Two gets in there and flashes their rightful copyright around).

If it isn't official, it doesn't get mentioned on the OFFICIAL forums. I dunno about you, but I don't see how that is a hard concept to grasp.

You are both right. I wasn't as clear as I could have been.

Yes, if this exact video surfaces elsewhere, it's still infringement and shouldn't be linked here.

But what I meant was that any individual game footage or facts will rarely stay "exclusive" for long. For example, if this video showed a weapon or enemy that was brand new, that same weapon or enemy will probably show up on IGN a few days or a week later. 2K isn't going to give a scoop to one source for very long with the game a month away.

So people are freaking out, trying to get at these videos as if they will never learn the details otherwise. When in reality, if they are patient, they can probably find a legitimate source for a nearly identical story very soon.

As explained previously, this is from a CD sold with a magazine. The magazine company invested time and money putting it together, and they are using it as an incentive to buy their magazine. The fact that you or I cannot legally buy a German magazine is immaterial. Just because we want something doesn't give us any right to have it. So distributing on Youtube is both a moral and legal issue.

If they wanted, 2K could also ban discussion of this kind of material, since there is plenty of legitimate info out there to discuss. But they made the concession to allow it. All they ask is that this forum not be used to distribute or network the actual pirated/infringing video. And even that seems to be too much to ask for certain folks....

That's a great privilege. Most places wouldn't want people discussing leaked info on a forum. Realistically they could stop anything they wanted to, it's there forum they can do whatever they want on it. What are you supposed to be impressed about?

The vids are illegal. It is a small request to ask that you not use 2K's resources to track down material of theirs being distributed illegally. Discuss the contents (how could you not?!) but respect the situation by meeting them halfway.

I'm not sure what you are being so indignant about. What, specifically, do you find so objectionable about our policy? Surely, you can understand why 2k wouldn't want either illegally leaked material or copyrighted material posted on the forum right? I think what Jape or Judge were getting at is that we ultimately don't have any control over what you do, only what you post. So if you wanted to search for a movie that we don't allow on these forums, that is up to you. We just don't want you posting it on here.

WTH is this? NOWHERE in my argument am I disagreeing about what the 2k forum policy addresses...I'm simply saying that 2k's policy suggests that it doesn't want us to find leaked info! Which you should be able to agree with!

I understand people want the video, and if that is the case go get it, it is in the current issue of Play3 Magazine. They may post in on their webpage but at this time they have not, and we cannot say it is OK to take a DVD that comes with a magazine if you buy it, and say it is OK to copy it and put it online. That is something that is just simply not allowed and should be obvious.

I would like to note that http://www.play3.de/ is NOT the same place that made the video. The official magazine webpage is http://www.videogameszone.de/m,1100/Playstation/ and if it is going to be posted anywhere that would be the place. Otherwise do the right thing and by the magazine since that is the goal of the magazine including the HD Videos on DVD with their magazine.

That is a good point the game is right around the corner, I hardly think this video of earth shattering gameplay (sarcasm) is cause for such dismay.
