I agree with IChoose. PS3 really needs to pick up the pace... God of War 3 is really the only thing its got going for it right now.
I'll admit it, I almost asked for a PS3 for Christmas so I could play that game eventually, but even with the price drop, I still can't stand they're controller... It gives me blisters.

I've never played 1 or 2, but it's nice to know I'm not missing much. I was really only basing my want on the footage of gameplay they showed at E3 '09. But yeah, I've been pretty disappointed with how little attention Bioshock 2 has been receiving on all the 2010 anticipation lists I've read. G4 hasn't been all too forthcoming with information, but at least Game Informer has been pretty good about keeping up with the developments.
Aslong as we give it attention all is good.

I did not mean to say god of war is a horrable series in fact I did play 1 and 2 but it's just not exiting as bioshock is and don't really get what makes a 3rd one more exiting to people then unique story. I geuss it just goes to show that all it takes to make people happy is a lot of blood and guts and more guts.

on either console. there are games that could be good but choose not to be by selling themselves out to either sony or microsoft.
the only exclusive game I own is little big planet.
but for the on the topic at hand gow is a better established franchise than bioshock, It has a much bigger fanbase. also ps3 fanboys see that sony hasn't got any big games for 2010 so they have to make sure gow3 wins so that their insecurities don't haunt them at night.

But about the controller, I grew up on N64 and Gamecube (I still think this was one of the best designs ever), so I was just used to the somewhat hulky curved grips. Not as hulky as the original xbox controller though, that thing was a beast.

Simple reason God of war III is a first party title, Bioshock is a third party multi platform title.
i honestly don't care how much people are noticing BioShock, If they have heard about it and decide not to look into it thats his or her own fault

I'm actually kinda glad that Bioshock is less popular than Gow. I just hate it when the products I like are strewn all over the place. I mean I can't go anywhere without hearing about Gow3.
Gow is just a "simple" story of vengence that people can pick up rather easily. Bioshock on the other hand, has so much more immersion and back storys. It's hard for some people to comprehend it. Still, it blows my mind that Bioshock is not more popular than it already is. Such an incredible game
IMO: I wish we did not have any exclusive games. That way I would not have to buy 3 different gaming platforms.
Still, you Bioshock fans should be glad that bioshock is as popular as it is. My favorite game is Dead Space, and for a while there I was not sure if the sequel was going to be cut by Ea when they did their, "remodeling." Thank god they kept it, lol.
Also, once the Bioshock movie comes out, it's popularity is going to build even more. So we may still be able to catch Gow3 in the long run. Btw, any news on the film? Or any good sites talking about the film? Like is it in pre-production still or are they already filming?

Uh-huh....the Uncharted series, Ratchet and Clank series, Infamous, MGS4, and LittleBigPlanet all beg to differ. And that's just the stuff I've played. =/
That said, I also couldn't name all of the 360 exclusives that are good off the top of my head because I don't own one, so I won't try to or I'll just seem biased, it goes both ways.
I don't want to start a console war either, especially considering Bioshock as a series being multiplatform makes it moot, my only real point is that this "remotely good exclusive" thing really sounds like a sour-grapes statement, and was uncalled for. And over what, the Spike TV video game awards show? The 'D-' student of award shows is not worth getting into a fight over.
It won the vote because it's a sequel to two very good and popular PS2 games, a console that more people own than 360s or PS3s mind you, so it has a lot of people willing to back it on a vote. It's not some overwhelming belief that GoW3 will be better than BS2 that fueled the votes, just name recognition.
I'm confident that both games will get good reviews, and both will be more than worth buying if you are able, the kind of thing where you can't pick one over the other because they're both good.
Now I just hope nobody misconstrues what I said...though it will probably happen.

I'm sorry if I offended you, at the time of that post I was mostly kidding just to explain the GoW over Bioshock thing. If you'd read later on you would have seen that I recounted my statement and clearly stated that there is no point in comparing consoles, each have strengths and weakness and each have an appeal to different gamers. I'm sorry, I love Bioshock, i mean LOVE. (Friends would call it an obsession) but a while back I wanted to see why everyone liked GoW so much, so I asked for it for Christmas. And I got it. I expected a typical guy game, Violence, Blood, and a couple of nude chicks. What i got was something compeletely different.
God of War was excellent. The way that Greek mythology was intwined into a new story was amazing. Honestly, I found myself falling in love with the characters, and being drawn into the story. When I killed Ares, and became the God of War. I couldnt wait to play God Of War II. I was planning on playing my GoWIII demo after I had beaten the first two, so I planned on a quick playthrough. That quick playthrough lasted a good week and a half (you have to realize it was christmas break, my friends were out of town, I had nothing to do) GoWII was AMAZING. The story made me feel sorry for the Titans, though I am a little pissed about Athena...
Anyways, and after playing the GoWIII demo, I am looking forward to what happens ALOT. I love Bioshock, but honestly, I dont know if its gonna live up to GoWIII. I mean, out of fanboyism, I continue to vote for Bioshock, but I can easily see the hype for GoW. I mean, who doesnt want to kill Zeus?
This thread just went in a totally wrong direction. So much so that people forgot the topic and just started attacking each other and their console preference. It turned into an outright console war.
Well, when your talking about a console exclusive being most anticipated game of the year, you are going to get a little bit of a console war, not to mention the fact that many of the first posters flat out said that the PS3 had terrible exclusives! At least I can admit when Xbox has some good Exclusives.
You raise a good point, so...since it appears this topic is doomed to be nothing but fuel for the fanboy fire, I'd recommend a Mod close it before someone grabs their pitchfork and/or torch.
