    Dial-Up won't work for registration

I'm using Vista with dial up and all the settings for downloading on the support page look like they are for a LAN built around a high speed connection. My dial-up website says to use "directly connect to the internet" and didn't provide any proxy settings. The error message says "cannot connect to download server. please check your internet connection". Is there a way to have Bioshock use my dial up connection instead of a LAN?

There is likely nothing wrong with your net connection.NO ONE can activate right now,so you are NOT alone in this.

Poeple that try get a like message,if on highspeed or not.

    PS :

If you can currently browse the net, using your dial up connection, there is a 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999 chance you will be able to use the authentication server to activate the game.

PPS: I am shocked 2K didnt buff up thier servers to deal with the extra workload,as the forums are slow as snails, and crashing constantly...

My apologies for wasting space here in that case. I thought the error message meant it couldn't detect the connection.

I've looked at it some more and it does seem that the problem is on my side of the connection. There was no outgoing or incoming activity when I pressed the "Start/Retry" button, so this definitely is a problem with the launcher and not the server. It seems that someone else is having this problem too, does anyone know a solution?

Internet Explorer is working without the proxy settings, so I don't know what the problem is with the Autoupdate program.
