I was hoping for Delta to come out of the suit and return to being a normal human. I know his skin and orgrans are grafted to the suit, but if they could make a plasmid that makes lightning and insects come out of you, I'm sure they could think of something to free Delta if need be.
Fontaine tells you that going Big Daddy is a one way street.
Fontaine also tells you he is Atlas.

I agree with the 'one-way street' notion. I have a feeling that Delta have been through a lot and has an enormous backstory that precludes him from going back to living an ordinary life-style.
Perhaps he will make one final 'sacrifice' in the end, which results in him dying, but reunited with Eleanor, whilst saving the lives of others (Mark Meltzer and Cindy?)
can one truly know another? id like to know why/how/what happened to him and maybe some of his former life

I want Delta to be dieing and then all of a sudden a monkey carrying a tube of Adam appears using the Houdini plasmid and injects you with it! Then, you trasform and become a Pokemon, and all you can say is Deltamon....

I don't know if I want it to be a mystery and never know what he looks like (similar to Master Chief from the Halo series) or if I want to know everything about the main character of Bioshock 2. It's a though choice, but I'm a very curious person, so I would want to know who Subject Delta is.

I like to to about him as a person but I do not want to see him becoming a human again, it's to been there done that for me
delta meets jack, they find Fountains rotting corpse and they tea-bag it! and they splice-up happilly ever after.
I forgot about those two. When I saw pictures of Cindy, my heart swelled up. I can't even imagine the pain Mark is feeling.
I think it would be a cool twist if somewhere along the line you choose the fate of Cindy.

He seems a good soul to me. I'd like to always imagine him that way. So while I can know his name and some about him, I want it to be sweet and well worth my efforts to keep Delta alive at the end. A sad aging citizen who has lost a lot.
But who knows. I will be shooting for a good ending.

I want to know a lot about him, BUT I don't want him to take off his suit or helmet.
Master Chief wouldn't be nearly as cool if we knew what he looked like.
I'd rather Delta be taken back to the Vita Chambers and revived. Or just not die in the first place. Jack got his happy ending after the load of crap he had to go through I think Delta deserves the same. I mean I can understand with Eleanor wanting to go to the surface that there really isn't a place there for a Big Daddy there but... I don't know it just doesn't seem fair to be so close and then have no chance at anything. Maybe it's because I don't have kids I don't really get that satisfaction with the idea that "my daughter" gets the chance that I, as Delta, don't.
As for who "Johnny Topside" was before he was turned into a big daddy I don't really care. I like having some mystery. Plus it allows the player to be able to make Johnny/Delta the kind of character they envision ie// a good player or a bad ass. By knowing Johnny it gets rid of the ability of the player to play the game however they want without being influenced by his history.
I didn't really care to be honest, Big Daddies, Little Sister they don't appeal to me.
I wish we could've known at least what he looked like. He was a big mystery throughout the entire game and we really didn't know much in the ending as well. :/

at the beginning they show delta taking off his mask, so i was hoping to see his face at the end of the game.
Maybe he would have a face like brad pitt, gave a smile to eleanor, and hold hands!
