Wal-mart Bioshock 2 Prepay box (includes pix)

Ok so I picked up one of those pre-pay boxes I mentioned in another thread the other day. The box isn't empty, it does contain a Bioshock 2 poster. You have to return the plastic box & the receipt though when you pick up your real copy of Bioshock 2. I don't know I want to sacrifice my $11.30 & keep the empty plastic box or not...I probably will turn it in though.

this is cheap but your could preorder from GS and walmart then gift your friend the second one but keep the poster and the stuff for multiplayer

ohhh i want it still figuring out where to pre-order it from so it's $10 to pre-order from walmart? do you get anything else besides the poster (ie $10 off your next game purchase or anything?)

EDIT: also can you cancel the preorder and get your money back like let's say i pre-order it get the poster which i keep then cancel my preorder and get my money back? i think i'm gonna go the amazon route since i get a $10 game credit (which i can use on God Of War 3) and it's $10 less on there

2K Games is the collective name. 2K Boston was the name of one studio 2K Games bought/something. 2K Boston changed their name back to Irrational Games, but that change in no way effect 2K Games and it's other studios.

Ya, I also forgot that it depends of the kind of store you have. Some people have nicer stores, that have special sections for things, special promotions and stuff. Other, and most, stores have little sections, nothing really.

This doesn't only apply to Walmart. Keep in mind, before going to the store for things we list, that they may not even be the type of store to handle this stuff... I learned that the annoying way.

Does Gamestop have any "strictly" employee Bioshock 2 gear? I know certain games send out employee only gear, which usually rocks!

In regards to Gamestop their promotional stuff is at the manager's discretion to my knowledge but generally goes to the employees

I've found that the day of the release, if you ask the manager kindly, they sometimes give things out to you like Promo posters and such.
I got one for Resident Evil 5 when I pre-ordered it.

Feb 9th. Me: "Yeah, I pre-ordered the LE Edition of Bioshock 2. Oh and would you kindly give me one of the pormotional posters?"
Manager drifts to the back room getting me a poster

But yeah, not saying it will happen everytime, but it's worth a shot, not like they are gonna kick you out of the store for asking.

$89.99 for PC (There should be a Mac version of the game later... although, not sure if it will have Special Edition for it...)

Oh when i bought the box it cost $5 so they take $5 from a $100 and so its $95 for councles and do the math for the pc

I don't see why people say they're getting $5 off. I always thought that $5 was just so you paid off $5 of it already... so they'd have your $5.

Well, anyway, I already paid off the whole thing. When I go to pick up my game, all they need is the receipt.
