Which OS you using?
Windows, I am using windows Xp
Here is a link to the specialized nVidia ForceWare drivers for BioShock:

Simply select which OS you're running, download the appropriate driver, and install. Note though that these drivers are BETA's and have not been WHQL certified. Although the chances of a severe problem are minimal, you install and use them at your own risk.
beta driver 163.44
I have already updated my ATI driver, do I need to update Nvidia as well?
biorocker, go here:
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
and click graphics driver. the rest should be self explanatory, that is if you know which graphics card you have. if not, right-click my computer, select properties, hardware, then device manager. click on the plus next to display adapters and it will show you which card you have.
Thank you, but do I need to update my Nvidia drivers if I have already updated my ATI Drivers?
so u are using a Nv mobo with a ATI card??? Make sure there are no driver conflicts or you could wind up with stuff not working right (or at all)
well you can't have two graphic cards from various manufactors at the same time in your pc so which one du you have in it? ATI or NVidia?
what did I say?
Although it's not recommended (particularly for gaming), you can have two different vendor graphics cards in your PC. The easiest way to accomplish this is to use an older PCI card along with an AGP/PCI-Express card. So for example, you could have an old GeForce 4MX card in a standard PCI slot and a Radeon x1950XT in a PCI-Express slot. They should be able to co-exist for most general functions and the draw for doing this is the ability to run triple monitors. However, in games you're likely to get conflicts and have other issues.
Which is why I addressed the OP and Christoph680 separately, quoting what I was responding to accordingly. Yes, more than likely the OP doesn't have this problem and is just confused about driver updates. However, we have no idea what he/she or anybody else reading this thread is or isn't running. These are public forums, which implies that anybody could be reading the responses here... not just the OP or others who decide to register and post. Perhaps someone else reading this could benefit from that information, either from a technical support standpoint or a "hey I didn't know you could do that" perspective.
OP: give us your full system specs and we'll tell you what drivers you should have installed. Also, what other people failed to mention, if you're updating drivers, uninstall the old ones and reboot first. Do not just run the new installer.

The 163.44 drivers don't do anything to help with the myriad bugs/crash issues being reported across the boards. I tried the 163.44 driver as well as the most recent official release and the game crashes in the exact same spot(s) with both. Patch time. And I would expect to see additional drivers from nvidia to go along with it. now we play the waiting game.
