    Demo: Graphics issues.

Installed the demo without any problems, but when the game started the first thing I noticed was that I had no mouse cursor. After a few seconds I managed to highlight 'Demo' and started the game, figuring the cursor was just bugged.

The cutscene on the train or whatever where you see your hand and you open the package or whatever displayed fine, but when that ended, all I saw was a black screen.

Then I saw a little fire, and tiny white squares pop up all over the screen and were falling all over the place. A message came up that said use w, a, s, d to move, but all I could see was some fire, little white squares, and a black screen.

Uninstalled, updated direct x, and my video card driver, rebooted, reinstalled, still have the same problem.

    Pentium 4 3.0ghz
    Ati x800 256mb
    2gb ram

    Any help would be appreciated!

Sorry, but the X800 won't work with Bioshock. Bioshock requires a Shader Model 3 card, and X800 is a Shader Model 2 card.

    Wow, awesome.

Back to watching re-runs of MAD tv and eating bon-bons.

    Hello,

I have the exact same problems as tsa724 after launching the demo. However, my video card is an ATI X1900 GT 256Mb, which if I'm correct, handles Shader version 3.0. Here is my rig:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
    RAM: 1Gb RAM
    Motherboard: Asrock 775Dual-VSTA
VC: ATI Radeon X1900 GT 256Mb

Any help would be greatly appreciated... can't wait to play the demo!
    Thanks

(I also updated to the latest display drivers: Catalyst Software Suite v7.8, released on 08/13.)

Yeah, same for me. I noticed my computer was right on the edge of the Minimum specs for this game, so I downloaded the demo to see how it handled the game. Turns out that it doesn't handle it at all. =-/

This is the first game my X850XT has failed to run, it makes me sad. Oh well. I was on the fence whether to buy this game from Steam on my PC or to just rent it for my 360. Looks like my decision has been made!

Indeed it does. I have a X1600 Pro and the 7.7 drivers and have no issues.

I suggest you uninstall the drivers and try these drivers or possibly the 7.7 drivers.

Be sure to uninstall your current drivers before you install any other drivers.

The ATI "hotfix" worked fine for me, thanks a lot
