    Thoughts from attendees:

A great big write-up from Vengeancecube:
    Part 1

    part 2

Yes, it was cold and wet, but it was a great event. Seeing a fully costumed spot on Big Daddy, the 1st big daddy, and a little sister (as he sees her) was awesome. The drill worked, the suit had sound effect (growls and moans). The little sister danced around, looking for angles and cowered behind the Big Daddy when splicers (and there were a bunch of us) threatened her. We had plenty of time to take plenty of pictures. Everyone who was there got a shirt and they were trying to give out extras once everyone seemed to have gotten one. Yes, they showed up 5 minutes after 12. Yes, we had to move to a location a few blocks away that was a little sheltered. Yes, my son's and my splicer's masks got a little soggy and will need repairs. Yes, it's 4pm and my feet are still cold. But you know what? I was there, I was part of this and it was totally worth it. -Oliver Wentworth

First off Props to 2k, Elizabeth, and all the people who put it together, including the fans who came dressed up. I got to the pier a lil before 11am after a night of working so i was on very lil sleep. Yeah got a lil wet but after talking with the first person who got their around 9am, I didn't feel so bad for waiting an hour. Once the splicers got us and lead us to the event area with a fully dressed up Big Daddy with working drill and a Little Sister. Alot of pictures were taken and the t-shirts were handed out. I had a good time and for being on lil sleep and wet for an hour it was worth it in my opinion. Some of the people who I talked to felt the same and others had issues some of which are understandable. I think everyone needs to take into account the goal of this is to provide some fan service, I can't think of any other video game companies that have gone out of their way for their fans. I appreciate the effort which just fell on a miserable day. -FeIonious

Thanks to 2K games for the really neat event.
Not a lot of video game companies do these types of things so it's really cool to be able to go to these things. The weather was pretty lousy and it looked a little bleak there for a moment. I arrived at the pier 15 mins to 12 and counted around 60 people there. I introduced myself to Parasite (great meeting you )who had been waiting there for almost 2 hours! O_O I was hoping that not too many people traveled from far away because it almost felt like nothing was going to happen. But when the 2 splicers showed up I was very relived. It was pretty cool seeing this mass exodus of people walking thru the meatpacking dist! LOL! But it was worth it seeing that Prototype Big Daddy and Little Sister in action, especially when he spun the drill!! ^_^ Oh and we should really thank the lady that was playing the little sister because it was really cold and I could see it on her face be she was a trooper and stayed in character the whole time! -Amazonagent

Woo! That was fun! I had no idea what to expect, and when the 2 dudes with the SitS masks arrived and yelled for us to follow I was pretty hyper! -Epstein_the_swami

I had alot of fun with all the forum people! Everyone was waay cool even with all the crappy weather and freezing cold temperature. I THINK I saw Ipom (Hanging around with a tall dude in a black coat with a gold pin?), I saw Xybot, Amazonagent, and a few others. Swag aside it was a really enjoyable get together of diehard Bioshock fans . -TheParasite

Well, to anyone who goes, TAKE PICTURES. Seriously, this doesn't seem to have ties to SitS; it must be a Bioshock 2 gathering. So help you if you don't take pictures! GAH!

Also, be sure to pick up some shtuff for your friendly neighborhood Swami, as I can't make it either!

I think it'd be funny if some disgruntled New York Giants fan brought a "No More Manning - We Want Wilkins!" sign.

I would pay for someone going to wrap a turban on their heads and say "I represent the Swami called Epstein."

Or, as an alternative, "Suresh sends his greetings."

LOL If I didn't offend about half of the people living around there I would totally do that. I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited for this. It completely turned my day around! I don't think I'll be dressing up or anything since walking around in the Bronx wearing a mask and a bloody shirt would most likely get you arrested. I WILL wear my Big Sister shirt though !

I hope to see some of you forum dwellers there!

Trust me I will. If my camera dies I'll use my phone. If my phone dies, I'll use my friends phone. If her phone dies, I shall rob a tourist of their camera.

Or maybe an opportunity to play the Hunting the Big Sister demo which the press got to play at E3? Or multiplayer.

Jeez lucky bastards living in the USA where BioShock was born... and all the events take place.

Here in Holland there is nothing for me exept for writing letters to Mark Meltzer and looking to SitS every day.

I WANT AN EVENT OVER HERE DAMMIT
