i agree totally, though i dont mind how cute they make the little sisters. in that case the cuter the better. they are important in the game due to being a juxtaposition to their sorroundings. so a dark, scarey anime would work just as well even if the little sisters are cute and cuddly.
i like most of whats in the first pic you quoted, but prefer how the little sisters look in the second

You know what I can see this happening I mean Halo did a pretty good job as a Anime why not Bioshock just saying though my personal favorite Anime of all time is Hokuto No Ken and no amount of Electro Bolts and Incinerates can change that lol

I'm sure Bioshock could thrive as a anime and just like Supercharge said it would be dark and scary and so would the Big Sister but then the Little Sister would be the cute thing in there which I think could work out rather well.

Still think a BioShock anime shouldn't have cute in it but I guess that's what anime is about, cute.

Not all the time, they don't have to be cute they can be dark but think about how the Little Sister fits into Rapture, in Bioshock 1 they did look like little demons a bit but still a little girl in a city under the sea that went mad and is full of crazy splicers and some what crazier or sane normal people and then in Bioshock 2 since they made them look like girls to be more cute and such I think it would really only make sense that they were the only cuteish part of the anime.
