All three versions are available at Play UK
£70 each regardless of the format
Looks like EB games is the only one for Australia at the moment.
eb games in canada needs to get their **** together lol cuz i cant preorder it yet=(
I'm not surprised, there are several games that they have not added to their catalog, as of yet. I wouldn't get my hopes up. You're probably better off getting it from gamestop.com.

My final thoughts: You have plenty of time to pre-order...
Its called a "limited run" for a reason. They're only making a certain number of these babies. I'm a little annoyed that (as of today) Canada still doesn't have it available for purchase.

i could only find the regular edition. i looked under the 360 and ps3 platforms and under "special offers"

thanks in advance
i'm pretty sure it is THAT special
Play.com does not deliver to all EU countries, so...
Either it becomes available on UK Amazon or no purchase from me
Still no word on the Canadian release of the SE yet?
Nope. I went in to my local EB Games and they still don't have it int heir system. Apparently its not in their location system OR in their country wide system. I think the best you can hope for is to ask them to put a preorder on the normal one and ask them to change it when they do get it. They said they've had some problems with SE's for other games (most notably being God of War 3 recently).

so its not realy a rip off
If you factor in the current exchange rate of pounds to USD, it actually is a bit of a rip-off. You can't really compare the difference in prices of the two if their relation is through multiples.
70 pounds is equivalent to about $112 while 25 pounds is about $40. So, based on those prices, the special edition is a rip-off for them.

I NEED THE LIMITED EDITION!
Us Aussies have to pay anywhere between $90-$150 so he ain't got it so bad IMO

Hello there people!
Uhm, I'm kinda new to this and I thought: let's post this here.
I missed the SE from BioShock1 (I wasn't a fan at that time, luckily a friend converted me lol) and now I'm crying because I don't have the Big Daddy figure.
BUT you can order a Big Daddy figure, one that is much bigger then the SE version (1,7pounds)! Just look around on amazon.com
Sorry if I upset you by posting this here, but don't cry now boyo.
Is it going to be possible to preorder the special edition in germany ?
alright, i tried searching the thread but NOTHING...sooo, was there any discussion about it (Special Edition) being available at our local friendly Best Buys. hey thanks, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!
if theres anyone in the uk i wouldnt try hmv because i went there and they said they dont get special editions for any pc games. which sucks and is kinda strange because bishock 2 is most probably going to be one if not the bigest releases of 2010. :P maybe they they will change there tune later
Well if its avaible in the Netherlands, it'll be avaible in Germany.

I really hope it will come to germany or I have to buy it from UK.. not a big deal for me then :/

I just pre ordered two special editions from my local gamestop. One for me and one for my girlfriend. It is going to be sweet.
I'm holding out until GAME in the UK release info on their Special Editions, they usually throw something extra in just to compete with other chains. Although i do remember a post/thread about the Australian GAME getting a free Little sister figurine?
wtf!? its 99$ so i expected it to be something like 70€ but nooo, its 90€! wtf!? who-ever did the pricing should sure check out the new currency values!
For the PS3 edition it's not that bad. £40 for the game on it's own... or for an extra £30 you get the vinyl, the cd, three posters and the 160 odd page hardback book. For the PC version though they'd be robbing you blind :|

For British folks the special edition is £70 which works out as about $115... so of course we have to pay slightly more.
Just the BioShock 2 game on it's own is £40 (for PS3 and XBOX360, slightly less for PC)... so we have to pay £30 more for the special edition... which is about $50.
I don't think it's that unfair really, given that you get a vinyl record and that pretty hefty book!
I can't stand that Gamestop always has to have exclusives now. I JUST want to get it from BestBuy but NOOOOOO. O well, I'll live.
Argh, still no news on the canadian release
Updated the thread with info for Germany! Just preordered the 360 version!
So Germany has it, but Canada does not yet. Ergh... Starting to get a bit annoyed. (No offense to Germany, I'm just starting to get a bit worried about this :P)
