I like the sound of team ADAM grab. It kind of forces you to stick by your teammates and really work together, instead of everyone spliting up and and trying to get the most kills. It's different and I like that.

This is arguably my favorite mode. Most likely because it is the one I am best at.

well... it is the same basic idea as OddBall, only BioShock's version makes more sence than running around holding a skull. But basically all of these game modes are BioShock versions of classic multiplayer game modes: Turf War is Land Grab (aka "Capture the Point"), Last Splicer Standing is Elimination (aka "Last Man Standing"), and so on and so forth.

Personally, it doesn't matter to me if these modes exist in other games. Bioshock will make them unique!

Last Splicer Standing sounds like it's gonna be my favourite. Closely followed by Team ADAM Grab, then Capture The Sister.

And that's just it, the Dev team for the multiplayer part of BioShock 2 has taken these multiplayer classics and made them their own.

Alright, I got Elizabeth to post on one of my threads. I'm really psyched from all the info 2K has been releasing on the game, to hold us over 'til the games comes out (89 days, 3 hours, 15 minutes, now--EST).
Thank you 2K for bringing so much joy into our lives.

Sounds like the extra development time has been used productively. I'm really glad it is going to ship with these extra modes! Liz, you know you need to bring on that multiplayer beta or demo for us post haste.

-Edit: Also, I changed the title to something more descriptive of the nature of the thread, sorry.

I remember making the prediction that they would expand on the MP after the delay. I'm so glad I was right!

This sounds like it is gonna be Epic.. I'm just wondering if 2K is gonna Support Dedicated servers for the PC version. or if it is gonna be hosted similar to Borderlands...either way I can't wait, Feb cant come soon enough

all of these modes sound like so much fun, especially Team ADAM Grab. never been to fond of land grab type modes but who knows, Turf War might win me over. I think I'll be playing this game for a very long time.

I think Last Splicer Standing sounds fun because it would be cool if you're your teams last hope of victory. It would add pressure but also be empowering.

I like Call of Duty 4, but the one thing that I didn't like so much was how EVERYONE just runs in guns blazing and not a care about how many times he gets turned into a fine red mist because he respawns 2 seconds later.
Elimination makes the game a little more "real"

I really like how the idea of turf wars just seems to fit so well with the idea of a civil war happening in Rapture. Everyone is fighting for their own interest, to make their own claim to their land. It really brings the external story back into the MP, much like it already is.

I'm guessing the characters are eligible for either side if Turf Wars involves an Atlas vs. Ryan split. There hasn't been anything in the COR's examination of the characters that'd make it seem like they supported one or the other. It's not a big deal, but I think it'd be interesting if they had loyalties of their own.

I so agree to that^. I'm just so tired of the whole "Red vs. Blu" thing you see in every team based multiplayer game now: Team Fortress 2, Halo, KillZone 2and just about everything else (Gears of War 2 has Red vs Blu, but they do it in a way that makes sence). I love the whole Atlas vs Ryan Civil War bit, it just adds so much to the game.

So, will the different teams be, like, color coated so as to easily see
    "Friend or Foe"?

I personally think Turf War, or Team ADAM Grab will be my favorite, all though I am leaning towards Turf War. I just love the idea of it, I cant help to think of Ryan vs Fontaine.
