    Alright, sheesh. BACK ON SUBJECT!

I really want to play borderlands. I don't think I'm going to be able to take my left hand out of my pants until the game is released.

    I'm still working.

I don't know when I'll be able to give you more useful information, but it is in the pipeline.

The only thing I ask is that whether you are brand new to this forum or an old timer, you please adhere to forum rules. No talking about pirating, no spamming, no trolling. I completely understand your frustrations and I'm reading through this thread and the one over at Gearbox as quickly as I can and that is helping to give everyone a more informed opinion. Having to moderate is slowing me down.

    Thank you.

I'll send you guys a box of fresh glazed donuts; courtesy of your local donut shop. I'll literally find out where your office is, call Dunkin Donuts and have a box of donuts sent to you.

The steam Borderland forums...well steam forums as a whole have gone down, so i'm not sure whats up with that.

However I hope some decision is reached soon. Checked the computers at Gamestop yesterday, and we still have the PC version listed as releasing on the 23rd. No street date insignia or anything next to it.

Lots of people have been coming in to pick up the console versions though, or just ask about the PC version...so heres hoping this all gets sorted out and soon.

Il buy the coffee! comeon guys! Do it for us!

It isn't your fault that they did an early release, but take that up with them, and you can get some serious props from the gaming community.

"Remember when they saw that the retailers screwed up and they decided to say screw it and release it early for the PC Gamers"

We remain in your dept 2K Liz It's good to hear you're working at it.

We're a little punchy from lack of sun Liz. We do appreciate your efforts.

I'm not sure what kind of new information your gonna get from the forums however. We kinda beat the horse to a pulp.

Many of us have since went up for air and check in here and there, but the thunder from before has been quelled somewhat by both you and Ennui checking in.

Nighty night all- best of luck in the morning.

Bah. You're not permitted to unchain yourself from your PC! *whpsh!*

    :P

BTW, Kotaku's advertising for Borderlands shows the PC box right above text that reads "Available Now" at the end of the video.

The commercial that aired a few days ago? Same deal, only the box was over the date 10-21-09.

What about that blackberry? I mean, I know it's not safe to text and drive but still, this is important donchano!?

Seriously though, we appreciate the time you're putting into this Even if the feedback you yourself will be receiving is limited by not being at the office.

Just make yourself something nice, like.... oatmeal with entirely too much sugar

I do have a blackberry, and so (I'm not kidding here) I had my boyfriend in the passenger seat reading my emails and typing out my dictated replies!

I'd like to throw my 2 cents in also...

I think an early unlock would make from some great publicity for 2k games, because i'm sure it will be front page news for every PC blog out there. Also, gamers who bought this product will remember this for their next PC game purchase and when seeing the 2k label know it's a company that listens to their customers.

I live close enough to make them donuts a possibility, assuming you are at the California location!

EDIT: Also, to state the obvious; I'm with the "Pro-Release" movement.

I just purchased the game off Steam and am currently doing the pre-load in hopes, and trust that I will be able to play it this weekend.

    Please help make this happen.

I am a pre-purchase customer from Steam as well as my wife and 2 other friends (4-pack price is awesome). I have been reading a LOT of forums about this game and it seems that most people are almost RABID to play this game. Which by the way it DOES look awesome. As far as the release of the PC copies in stores early I think that if it was put on the shelves and sold as a full copy of the game then the retailers should be taken care of by the company. They broke their end of the deal, unless of course it was 2K or whoever that told them to release it early. In the end though it IS going to reflect poorly on the developers of the game, even if it's not rightfully so.
Like several people before me have said I think that if the company released the game early, in time for this weekend’s peak gaming times you will have a LOT of extremely happy customers and it would only stand to make the company look good. It shows that in spite of the errors of unrelated stores that this company is the bigger "person" and helps out the PC gamers.
I personally do enjoy the fact that someone from the Company "Elizabeth" is at least out here on the forums acknowledging everyone’s comments. I hope that you ignore all the people on here trying to go all crazy, they are all just foaming at the mouth to bite into your new product. So don't look at it from the negative aspect, you guys should all be impressed by such a huge response to what you are working on. Hopefully you'll all remember this loyalty from the PC gamers out here. Thanks for reading this long winded post!

Supporting the cause here, i see not releasing the game quite detrimental to sales. Gamers who aren't familiar with the release date have purchased copies over in Europe to find the game incapable of working, leading to frustrated consumers with what i would imagine, a lot of complaints and returns. If possible, i hope 2K can manage to release the game early, avoiding any problems with negative views on the company.

The console versions are sold out in most places, so why not?

Wow, it's late now. Going to sleep.

Thank you again, 2k Elizabeth. Information is the best thing we can hope for tomorrow. Don't get your hopes up for an unlock tomorrow yet, guys. That way you won't be dissapointed if it doesn't come, and you will if it does.

    Exclamation

I too would love an early unlock... bought the PC version but am not allowed to play it yet! As mentioned previously, it would probably get 2K Games some good publicity!
