I have lost to Morte. I've only played him a handful of times, due to the time difference, but the last time was pretty bad. I was picking random in unranked against his Romans. I actually got the Chinese, which I didn't want. I started right in between him and the Greeks, so no rushing the AI, but I already had a horsearmy by the time I found this out. I did manage to double move him w/ horses off a boat and take one of his 5 or 6 cities he had settled by 2000BC. He sent me a message saying he didn't see that coming, and while I was inebreated (sic) and responding to his msg, the next turn starts and he takes the city back w/ a vet archer army from a hill

. Doesn't really matter, I could see his cities, and knew that I wouldn't be taking many more. But I got Code of Laws, but had no gold, and misplayed my expansion, trying to keep his now 8-10 cities from getting irrigation before me, which I did, but he proceeded to build about 20 cities in a space that most might only build about 5 or 6. I love watching him play w/ the romans, because it's basically like a wall of cities, and reminds me that I still don't play them as well as I should.
I have never had the Egyptians, Germans, Zulu, Greeks, or French as my favorite civ listed on the leaderboards.
