Yes of course they can check your trunk or write penalty
so today i was pulling all kind of stunts:burnouts, overtaking on the sidewalk or on the other side of the road, running red lights , highspeeding all kind of stunts. and i`ve passed by the police and they`ve just drived along like nothing happend.ooo and plus more than a duzine of car crashes.so please just make the cops a bit more bad with traffic offenses not like in gta 4.

they said traffic law in Mafia 2 wont be so strict which is probably a good thing, would have prefered a fairly strict system with the new speed limit, apart from the 40mph limit feeling a bit too slow at times there wasn't much wrong with Mafia 1.
no no i don`t mean speeding and running redlights but the other thinks like risky driving or driving on the sidewalk or leaving a car in the middle of the road and if i get hit by another car the other participant should be fined not me.

ya one thing i hate about gta4 is the ai driving. let's hope that mafia 2 has smarter drivers than gta4
In the interview they said that they would act realistically and give you tickets for small things like speeding and pulling your gun out in the street.

They could pretty much keep everything the same as the first Mafia game.
If there are bars, you should get stopped and arrested for drunk driving (maybe a fun little breathalizer test where your Blood Alcohol Level is determined by how many drinks you've had and how long ago you had them?). And maybe a Fashion Police that can arrest you for general bad fashion (1970s flaired pants come to mind, for example).

It was legal to drive drunk in many states until the late 1960s. The Breathalyzer was not invented until 1958 and not widely used for several decades...
As such, I think we won't see those things in Mafia II...

I never played Mafia 1. What happened when you got arrested. I was watching this video and the player got out and paid a fine for speeding but what happens if you were to kill someone?
In m1 when you get arrested they just put you in cuffs and the game ends. If you kill someone the police will kill you no matter what as far as I remember.
Did I see right on those newest gameplays that there is only one type of police car?
when you have played a little and some years have passed etc... they will change i guess like mafia 1

you got three choices if i attempt to bribe police man, what happens, its going to be like in scarface or there will be big risk to bribe police, because someone can take the money and someone not.
and if you show LTC, police man just lets you go?
@Fat_Tony I think the police just let you go for hte LTC (License to carry) so if you haven't fired your gun then I think you can just walk on
