i would play ryan because i would have more power and i could respawn in the vita chamber so i would be invincible!!

how does Ryan have more power? Fontaines the one with all of the Adam, but Ryan was a much cooler person, Fontaines just a con artist

Ryan had influence over the splicers, but so did Fontaine. I know what your saying and yes its true that Ryan had more control over them but Ryan locked himself up in Hephaestus, he was alot more Vulnerable seeing that he didnt have any plasmids to defend himself with, but then again Fontaine didnt have Vita Chambers to ressurect himself
Probably Fontaine, I liked his accent and his whole persona.
Nor did Fontaine until Jack became a real threat (the plasmids that is)
its, thought that Fontaine had began Splicing before Jacks arrival, in Atlas's headquarters, you find fontaines audio diary and hes talking and then gets interupted by Diane McClintock, and where you find the Audio diary you also find a female corpse on a desk that is shattered, so its possible that Fontaine was splicing before Jacks arrival and had beat the eggshells out of Diane and broke the desk in the process.

well if you played as either one it would be a completely different game. if you played as ryan then it would be like halo wars. your army of splicers versus fontaine's.
now if you played as fontaine,it would depend on which version of him you played as. if it was the human version it would be the same as ryan. but if you played as mutated fontaine it would be more like bioshock 2 with a big daddy player. imagine! bioshock wars. but given the choice between the two,i'd have to go with fontaine.
Well if you want to play as a good guy the its ryan well he wasnt accutly good i mean i dint see anything good about nor bad but thats the only choice if you want to play as the bad guy i would play fonatin but ryan is cooler then fontain

I think he didn't because near the end Fontaine goes on about how 'he doesn't mix business (splicing) with pleasure' and then goes loco and keeps injecting himself

who's to say that he wasnt taking it in small incriments at first when he first became Atlas, it never says otherwise and his face never really looked like he was normal to begin with, just another spliced up Rapturian. and to kinda fight the whole arguement of they reused alot of Skins, the Atlas model was separate from the rest, he had Blonde Hair and a Hat, and Tenenbaum and Langford both had regular features of an unspliced human, so wouldnt he?

Your forgetting how addictive ADAM is, even in minute dosages, in no time after he injects himself he would become a splicer

I'd play Fontaine because he seemed to have more power than anyone else. Plus, despite him being an insane mobster, he was pretty smart and knew how to get what he wanted.

yea, his model looked like a splicer, disfigured facial features and everything, so he probably was addicted, and he has plenty of ADAM to feed his addiction

I don't think Fontane spliced until he could feel Jack's vengeful heated breath on the nape of his neck. Then he went all "Tony Montana". Most successful drug dealers do not use [ Don't get high on your own supply ] and Fontaine is a very successful businessman.
You can't go by the appearance of the characters. I'm certain that if they had it all over to do again, 2K would've used individual skins for "Atlas" and Tenebaum. I don't think they anticipated over appreciative fans
"ghosting" and "Flying" behind the scenes and then posting about it and drawing conclusions based on it on forums for over-devoted fans.

I'm pretty sure that Fontaine didn't splice until he felt threatened by Jack.
As for whom I would play, that would be Fontaine...just because he does more of his own dirty work for himself (Ryan only knows how to order people around), and he remains alive and therefore playable for a longer time than Ryan.
i would play as ryan
1. cause is alive due to the vita chambers and is "supposedly died" but if he is then the story wouldnt make sence
2. possibly helping the big sister rise rapture.
3. he knows where to find any hidden locations where no one has seen that has plasmids or tonics.
4. still have control over splicers
i wouldnt chose fontain cause he's died. but if you were able to play as him before he dies then definately i would play as him cause that over spliced plasmids power. O YEAH ALL THE ADAM AT MY DISPOSEL..
I like Ryan because he's cooler and more laid back and has complete control over mostly everything. Fontaine is bald, spliced up to ugliness and has no control over anything until you put the chip into the mainframe.
Well not really... if it was before he "so called died" then yes you do have control over all of rapture but if it was after he "so called died" then you wouldnt have control cause your genetic key is with jack on the surface cause the little sisters gave it to you. or you just left it there in rapture and is now in the postesion of the big sister or lost.
