So I'm a noob and possibly intermittent since I'm moving shortly. My xbox360 tag is themightypuck. Will take on all comers. I'm pretty random in the civs I play since I don't really know enough to focus on one--although I did have fun with the Germans so I might lean towards them.

i think what separates new comers for the ps3 and the xbox is that on the ps3 they wil enter the chat, where they can play other beginners.. while in the xbox, they are maybe(probably not) added by these xbox elite players that will defeat them in seconds, and probably make these xbox player's motivation disappear..

I play unranked when I can, but only by appointment. I wouldn't expect to find many good games by going into random unranked games. A lot of us are the same. You can add me (El Thrasher) as a friend and hit me up when you see me on.

Thanks - today was a little more demoralizing after getting the Mongols a few times, and/or facing US & China. I guess I've got to be a little more aggressive overall, but it can seem rather lopsided at times. Still, I like the idea of going exclusively random.

So, I asked 2KElizabeth if I could start a new one, she agreeded, and this thread will be stickied in the near future. I've played most of you, and you know I don't cheat. Don't believe him. Also, I'd like to get in on these tournaments I've been hearing about; how do I do that?

I'm still a beginner at this, but I've been reading a LOT of the strategy guides, and although I'm still making many mistakes, I'm starting to get the hang of it.

Is it possible to voicechat or typechat to your opponent in a multiplayer game? I had an issue the other day where I had to leave a game suddenly and wanted to apologise to my opponent... but couldnt see how :-z

Hey avennis, your name seems familiar to me. I think we've played. In any case, nobody has come around here saying you're a cheater and if somebody did, most of us wouldn't care, since it's very easy to say something like that.

As for the tournaments, you just have to sign up in the threads when they get started. There's nothing on the xbox side starting right now, but you could probably apply to be an alternate in the ICL.

I own a 360 and a PS3 system, and I mostly use them to play civ rev ;-) I play like 5-10 hours a week. I was already playing on the 360 leaderboard h2h for about a year, but recently I started to use the HGB chatroom on the PS3 and the league.
