Got my two BS/LS sets today - very nice!
Toys r us online is now showing them and the Delta and the Big Sis - so I am gonna venture in to the pit of doom that is my local TRU to see if I can score a Delta or two...
Sucks they won't be carrying the bouncers again at my location in all likelihood - looking forward to the Rosie BD release now tho!

Damn! Still nothing at my TRUs...
One more thing... about Delta's drill arm... I didn't feel that it bent enough so I cut out a little chunk on the joint piece with an Xacto. It now has better range of motion and he can hold his drill arm at an almost 90 degree angle...
Yeah, I can't wait for the Rosie. Then I'm done. I just want Big Daddies, the Ladysmith doesn't really appeal to me...
I've been tossing around the idea of making a custom Jack. I'm just not sure what figure I would use as a base... some other NECA or McFarlane thing?

Finally, my local TRU has them in the system. They haven't arrived, mind you, but they're showing up on the computer, and there are tons at the warehouse (like Japester said) so it should only be a matter of time before I can snag one...

Have you seen the NECA Boondock Saints figures? Just regular guys with guns, like Jack, and they are about the same size as the Bioshock figures. They might be tough to find but they are out there.

I hate to say it, but while looking for the BS/LS, I thought maybe I could use one of those goofy twilight figures for a Jack basis... but the Boondock Saints faces look more like his...
I can think of nothing better than to frankenstein a Twilight figure into a Bioshock Jack figure.
You might have a better chance of finding a Twilight figure anyway.
Actually, I just was checking out the NECA site. It looks like the Cult Classics Lost Boys Michaelhttp://www.necaonline.com/product/detail/60752 figure would be a great base for Jacks body. The head would have to come from somewhere else, though...

The Little Sister is listed seperately and also with the Big Sister two-pack. Reasonably I think we will see the little sister by herself (or maybe a double-pack of Little Sisters - fingers crossed).
Right now we just wait, but I hear there is this cool new game coming out on the 9th that may keep us occupied until the Little sisters arrive.

Sweet! I just got off the phone with my TRU guy. He has 2 sets of the LS / BS pack on hold for me. He says the rest are being held in the back because "they are being given away to the people who pre-ordered."
I'm not sure if that was in question still ... but this guy has been 100% accurate up to date. Kind of weird that this TRU perk was unsolicited. You would think they would have wanted people to know, especially since they were pre-selling the Bouncers. Very strange in my mind ... BUT, it gives me this weird little hope that Gamestop will be giving out the Little Sisters as party favors at the midnight release. :P
EDIT: Sorry, that's how rumors get started. In no way have I heard that Gamestop is giving out Little Sisters at the midnight releases. Just wishful thinking on my part.

I HOPE they don't want to hold them all for preorders... how'd you talk them into breaking some out for you?
I've been dealing with this guy for quite some time now. I give him a list of all of the stuff I'm looking for and he holds it for me. The only thing he asks in return is that fill out the online survey from the receipt. He's cool with it because he knows that I own a toy store ... but that all of the things I ask for are for my personal collection. If I started asking for 6 of the short packed TRU exclusive MiniMates, I don't think he'd ever hold anything for me again.
He's a dying breed ... a guy in retail who actually cares. I was really lucky to run in to him one day. I'd say we're actually friends. We geek out about toys, comics, games, movies ... he really knows his stuff and is an actual BioShock fan. Definitley a great guy.
Wow. It sounds like I have a man-crush on the guy. :P I definitely do have respect for him and appreciate all of the extra attention. That's why I only shop for stuff I want there anymore. Which is a far cry from a few years ago.
Hey, that's cool! Go ahead and talk him up all you want, 'cuz like you said, that kind of retail worker is rare find nowadays. All the employees that work at my TRU are like 30-40 women who didn't go to college and are used to waitress and cashier jobs and such. It's kind of hard to get the particular demographic to feel the urgency of my action figure addiction, ya know?

Are the EVE hypos confirmed to be EU only? I'm not terribly concerned, not sure I wanted one anyways...
as of right now no information on if or when they will be available anywhere else besides the UKnot to bothered myself while it looks cool i wouldn't want to buy it i'm already running out of display space as it is
EDIT: just checked my UPS tracking info and it says CERRITOS, CA, US 01/28/2010 3:26 P.M. IN TRANSIT TO FINAL DESTINATION now cerritos is where my local UPS warehouse is and usually where my packages get delivered from, but they say out for delivery i've never had in transit to final destination

I chose cheapest shipping for my TRU BS/LS pack on a Wednesday and got it on the following Tuesday by UPS.
A lot of people diss UPS but I've never had any problems getting stuff from New Egg and Amazon through them.
Oh yeah our BS/LS was shipped via UPS, but since it was the cheaper option, UPS dropped it off at USPS to finish the delivery. So we were getting that weird status message at the UPS site as well.
Do you think they'll make a display for the figures? I've noticed little nub holes on the feet of both Subject Delta and the Big Sister. You know, kinda like the one seen at the San Diego Comic Con?
Another local TRU looked the BS/LS up in their system and again said there was a bunch at the warehouse. Here's the thing... they offered to order it for me and have it shipped to my house FOR NO ADDITIONAL SHIPPING. Apparently something is ordered off TRU.com through the store, they waive shipping. Just letting you guys know.
So why didn't I just do that? Sheesh... I just have a hard time waiting for stuff to get here in the mail. I'm impatient.
on another note... Delta is sorta inaccurate! His drill looks way more complicated in the videos and he doesn't have the plasmid holes in his left hand...

Of course - it's also possible they gave you innacurate info - (I know mine does all the time) - or it's accurate but the Densans at my TRU wouldn't have a clue how to do it anyways...
I've been trying to avoid the game trailers 'cuz I'm a freak about avoiding spoilers - do you have a picture of the new in game Delta to compare?
And talking about figures - I sure hope they make some life size new Big Sister / Little Sister combos - so when I get a bit more cash I can pick them and the lifesize Big Daddy Bouncer up also...

Well, I saw the computer screen at customer service and it sure did have a blank spot on shipping, whereas I've gone right up to the confirming point on TRU.com and the shipping was tacked on... it bears looking into, at least. It's just that I've waited and held off so long that I just want to wait to see it in stores...

and unfortunately I can't get a screenshot of the plasmid holes in his hand, but if you watch the "Hunting the Big Sister" video where Delta is waking up, he looks down at his hands and you can see them very clearly.

Not a deal killer for me - I really still want a Delta or two for sure - but that is a curious oversight - that could have added that extra Wow factor...

Well... I think they were working off that "final concept design" of Delta. It doesn't have the extra drill greeblies or plasmid holes, either.
Yeah, it's a small issue. I'm just conditioned to years of pointing out inaccuracies in Star Wars stuff... it's definitely not a deal breaker!
I tend to customize a figure if something isn't right on it anyways... I've got epoxy putty and stuff... gimme a couple days and my Delta will have plasmid holes!
The drill I'm not so sure about...
