I'm definitely interested in seeing the Big Sister and protoBD figures...
I can already picture them as really cool, incredibly detailed, sturdy action figures. You'll barely notice any difference when you compare them to the in-game models.

It would be terrific if Neca ended up making a Sander Cohen toy. With Bioshock's popularity, it's very likely that multiple sets will be released.

None of which would fit into the "BioShock 2" collection they are producing. Even Spider Splicers may have changed over the years to something worse.

And there you have the first wave! Kinda disappointed with the splicer they chose, but nonetheless all the figures look amazing.

I like the Rosie figurine a lot! It has the most resemblence to the concept art. The Bouncer looks pretty cool, except for the drill... it doesn't look intimidating enough. And the Big Sister looks pretty nice too.
The Little Sister figure is a huge improvement in quality compared to the first one.

If someone didn't know about Splicers and they saw that leadhead figurine they'd probably be wondering why that one melted.

I wish they made the Rosie in a combat position while holding the rivet gun. That would look more awesome. But I like this one too.
Overall, I gotta say, at least for the ones they're displaying... it exceeded my expectations. Really good work!

Yeah the Rosie is definitely my favorite out of all of them. The Little Sister looks like she just came right off of the screen.

Yeah, I agree with you here. They made a good job and I can't wait to see the final versions, so I can purchase them.

How great would an Andrew Ryan figure be? I can only imagine. I really hope they decide to give the creator of Rapture his own figure. I think he deserves it. I would buy it in a second.

~NECA to produce Bioshock Action Figures thread. RISE.~ (doubt anyone will get the reference)

ANYWAYS, not to make duplicate threads I figured I'd bring back this one. I'm having a conundrum with these Bioshock figures. The Big Daddy is up for pre-order with dates saying "Oct 2009 to Nov 2009" So I'm here wondering, HEY WHEN IS HE SUPPOSE TO BE RELEASED?

    Cool

As a retailer, I've been having a major problem with getting information on these figures. I cannot get a definitive answer on this wave ... about what the actual release date is and about which figures are being released. The original release date from the distributor was 10/28. However, they did not ship. They are also not on the ship list for next week. And there is no sign of them coming in to the distribution hubs. I have a person looking in to it there ... but they haven't been able to find anything yet.

I've contacted NECA directly, but the results have been a little frustrating. I sent a very detailed message asking about the release date and case assortment. I have received several images soliciting these figures, but they have all been different. Yet there is only one case assortment solicited so far. Here are the images I've received so far:

    http://stuckakid.com/temp/BD.jpg
    http://stuckakid.com/temp/BD2.jpg
    http://stuckakid.com/temp/BD3.jpg

After I sent my detailed inquiry about release dates and figures to be included in the initial assortment, this is the response (in full) I got from NECA:

"The only Bioshock figure NECA is releasing at this time is the Bioshock Big Daddy Ultra Deluxe action figure."

I'm still trying to dig up more info. I'll let you know as soon as I do. Until then, I refuse to put up any pre-orders. No one really knows what they're selling or when it's coming out ...

The Big Daddy is showing up in stock through various sellers on Amazon and eBay, which means it should be hitting stores very soon.

The Big Daddy has been advertised on TFAW (my personal favorite site for everything nerdy), but they don't have preorders for it, which is a little strange, IMO.

Having trouble finding the figures in Canada. And I even own my own toy-store - LOL. My supplier says they can get them, but they won't guarantee them, *sigh*.

Are there any other Canadians on the boards that have been able to find them? I just want one for my sons birthday at this point.

There are lots on eBay, but with the shipping costs upwards of $30 , its kind of silly.

I actually saw the Big Daddy action figure in FYE on Saturday (I know, I know..pix or GTFO, but I wasn't aware at the time that they hadn't hit stores). On the back, there were pictures of a lady splicer, PBD, Big Sister, etc. with a bubble saying "Coming in 2010" or something to that effect. I was tempted to pick it up, but I wasn't sure that these were the figures everyone was talking about. They didn't have price tags on them which was a bit odd. Guess I should've done my research

For anyone in the area, I saw three of these in a plastic casing in the basement level of FYE at South Shore Plaza in Braintree, MA.

This is weird, the Big Daddy seems to be such a limited release, I am not sure it was supposed to even been released yet.

Yeah, I thought it was odd, too. I remember reading in this thread that only pre-orders were being taken. If I had known the full details, I definitely would've taken a picture. I hope that those were the figures you guys were waiting for. I certainly wouldn't want to mislead anybody. The BD and the pictures on the back looked exactly like those linked to in this thread. That's why I brought it up.

Purchased a Big Daddy that I had on pre-order for about 2-3 months from Big Bad Toy Store...said it was supposed to release in October originally, but got pushed back a little...finally got it last week (maybe the week before)...just thought I'd throw that out as another optional place to grab figures, for those that are interested...

Cool! I own my own toystore too! I'm online only, located in the US.

People: the only places that have these are stores that get there stuff direct from NECA. And even some of those don't have it. Toys R Us, for example, has not received theirs. This has not seen its full release yet ... and when it does, expect the prices to drop a little. I know most places are selling for $20 - $25. My store and a few others should be around $17.

I personally cannot wait until though cases hit my warehouse floor. One goes striaght to this Big Daddy.

    edit: MY 100th POST ! ! ! ! ! ! ! I are Senior Member ... woo hoo!
