There was a reply from NECA's Twitter when asked about a variant Brute: no variant version planned, what did you have in mind? He will be out in July. Maybe more Bio2 this year not certain.

From that hint, we'll see the Brute (hopefully) in July, but details on the rest are still being worked out. I really hope to see more soon.

this makes me sad i really only want the spider splicer i'm glad you guys who wanted the brute can finally get him, but i wonder what the hell NECA is thinking releasing them one by one rather than just releasing all 3 to get it over with. maybe they think people aren't interested in the BS2 line anymore? i haven't been to a TRU in awhile i wonder if they still have BS2 figures they are trying to get rid of it that could be it.

I love all of the figures and props, and there was nothing wrong with the line (even my TRU sells them pretty quick through the weeks), but from what I read on these comments, I can tell that people were very selective with it; its either wanting just the Big Daddies relating to the first game, buying one or two figures out of the entire series, only wanting a specific Splicer, or even hoped NECA will make a new figure (Andrew Ryan, Rumbler, etc). But I think at this point, NECA is going the Player Select route of releasing one at a time to go with other video game properties because it'll be easier to sell those, rather than risk a shelf of a few similar figures because one character was popular enough to outsold the rest. However, if you really love this line (especially Series 3), then show your support for it: NECA recognized on Twitter that people love the line by showing off tehir collection and voicing their concern for Series 3 (and I think they got the point by now). Even buying the Brute can show them potential for releasing that Crawler or Lady Smith with Jack's wrench and Delta's Shotgun we've been waited for. Hell, I bought several figures of almost each character, not just to customize them as other BioShock characters, but to show my support for the line, which I'm going to do the same for customizing & collecting these Splicers.

looks like the Brute is a Toys R Us exclusive out sometime in the summer july/august. @evans i'm pretty frustrated with NECA right now they're are not only shafting the BS line, but they're doing other stuff with their other lines that aren't great at all. i haven't bought a figure since last year from them i really don't want to support them if they keep up with this new attitude they have towards the way they handle themselves now. if the spider splicer gets released awesome if not oh well i think they probably already made up their minds on just working on infinite now.

I'm dissapointed to hear that its a ToysRus exclusive, ToysRus Canada doesn't stock neca figures period. They didn't even get the Gears 3 figures. You should be happy in the US that you can walk into a Toys or order it online to get one. I'm going to have to pay up on Ebay now.

I haven't seen much from Neca that I care for either, I collect the gears of war 3 line and series 3 is looking lame. A Cog gear which will be Clayton's body with a slightly diffent paint and helmet. Two Theron guards that are most likely made from the same molds as the Gears 2 Theron guard figs. I like Journeys end Marcus though. Their just continuing on with the same recycling of figures/molds/whatever. Thats one thing I have always disliked about Neca.

I'm all for the series 3 line since the announcement last year. All that i'm missing in my collection is the Welder mask and the last of series three. Then i'm all completely done with it. So yes, i'm still supporting the line to this day. I'm maybe lame but that's what i like. What i like i will support with my money.

Forget Toys R Us. For the last few months or so they haven't gotten anything i'm interested at all. I'm guessing my ToysRUs won't have it on their shelf. Seeing what happened when i was there.

I feel you. Every time I look at my Bioshock case and it still doesn't have the Brute, Spider, or Ladysmith redeco, it just seems that much empty still. Everything else is in there.

well i know i've read people voice their complaints over wanting an andrew ryan figure i think this might be the closest you can get to that for $100 plus shipping though i don't know if it's worth it. there's also the murder of crows bottle prop for $500 i had to double take for that.

Ugh, if I weren't about to get married this weekend, that AR statue would totally be mine. Responsibilities suck. :/

Does anybody know why Neca have taken over a year to manufacture and sell these "series 3"-figures? On their website the "series 3" was announced June 2011..?

    I have pre-ordered this one and really hope that it goes as planned;

I am awaiting that Brute Splicer figure since the day I saw the sculpt prototype. I hope Neca change their minds and release a Brute Splicer variant after all. A closed fist version would be a must have! Details look so amazing on that Brute and scale seems to be perfect to go with other protectors.

I really hope other Bioshock 2 figures get released in the upcoming months/years!

Its absolutely worth it. I just got mine in the mail two days ago. Easily one of the best parts of my quite varied Bioshock collection.

This is a nice dangling carrot, an one that I will go after. “The Brute Splicer was initially a part of a third series of BioShock figures, and if this one does well, we’ve still got a few other Splicers up our sleeve.”

It is, but I'd still go for them, just to hope they'll do well enough for them be all released, and have some closure for the BS2 line. For now, I'm just checking each week of this month for the Brute.

Speaking of which, NECA confirmed on their Twitter that the Brute Splicer has finally shipped, and it's arriving in stores between this week and next week.

NP. And just to assure that they have confirmed this, here's a pic someone at Twitter showed to them at their TRU:

Picked up the Brute Splicer today at TRU along with unhooded Ezio Onyx. There were other Neca items like the Claptrap and the RoboCop. But these two were my top priority heading into the store.

I also just picked up the Brute Splicer. It was definitely worth the wait, especially the detail work on it. Hopefully, if there's still more of him at my store by the end of next week, I'll get another to make into the Fiery Brute Splicer, which will go great with my custom Subject Sigma figure.

One down, two more Splicers to be released (hopefully).

Totally understandable. Brute is more like a display-type figure because of the limited articulation (especially when it was made in 2011, before NECA blended articulation around clothing-like detail), and almost makes it like a statue than as an action figure. The figure on the first video seemed to have something stuck in the shoulders, because mine was able to go wider around, but it does have a similar limit to the elbows. I agree about the second video that there should have been some big object for Brute to hold (may be a piece of Rapture debris, or a radio, or a Circus of Values machine) but of course, that kind of addition would have higher the cost of plastic for this already large plastic figure, and at $15.99, its at least a bit reasonable for its size than the $19.99 Big Daddies were. Besides those minor flaws, I still enjoy it as both a detailed figure, as a striking resemblance to the Brute Splicer, and as a addition for my BS2 figure collection. I do hope it does sell well enough (like I mentioned above, I plan to get another to customize as a Fiery Brute), and I do hope it would generate more interest for releasing the remaining Splicer figures by the end of this year.

yes this surprised me i was sure he would be $20 or more $16 is a steal for a figure of his size glad NECA as least priced him right after a year or so of waiting.

Still waiting for the Brute figure to be available in Europe. It is really awesome from what I can see on the videos. The head sculpt is very accurate and nicely sculpted. Which we could have one version with closed fist!

Let's hope this figure sells well so that we can get the Crawler Splider!

I don't normally double up on figure to be honest. However, the one Neca Bioshock figure that i do have a double is the Elite Bouncer. Probably my favorite Figure from the line. Pic. below. Behind the Inca bottles in the background.

I bought the brute from Ebay for a fair price today, considering ToyRus Canada doesn't stock Neca period I didn't have many options. I'm happy though and am looking forward to adding him to my Bioshock collection.

well after thinking about it this past weekend i gave in and bought the brute today and ordered the rosie off amazon. i might as well complete the collection for now seeing as the line is coming to a close and the other 2 splicers fate is up in the air. i had to do a little re-organizing, but looks like i should be able to fit everything on my shelf if they decided to release the final 2 splicers

    @ArmorForVictory that's cool. I like your display.

you're right. As seeing the Bioshock Neca line is coming to an end, well at least one step closer with the recent Brute figure released. We just can't leave yet[speaking for myself] when the line is almost at an end too. When i have all of it. I'll post a video of my entire Neca Bioshock line. I'm totally with you on this.

Too bad, it would be soo cool to see this thread light up like it did in the past.

    p.s

picked up Claptrap today at TRU.

as do i this thread used to have posts all the time i'm sure many have moved on after this forum kind of died down i hope with infinite we get more regular posters. as for claptrap i saw him at TRU i would have totally picked him up if NECA would have kept the voice for him like they intended to :/

ArmorForVictory, its great that you decided to get the figures, especially when those are currently more available than the other figures (I wish I got another Big Sister though, mostly to replace the missing head from a custom Eleanor Big Sister). Also, I think I recognize your shelf from seeing it on another site a while back, especially the Big Sister Prototype.

Yeah, gamertam, I kinda miss the thread when it was as lit up as before, but at least its somewhat getting there. For now, instead of what new BioShock figures could be made, its just about updates and finding new figures. I also have a completed collection of figures, plus extras for customs I'm still working on. Speaking of which, I did manage to get another Brute (my store was close to running out of them), so I'll be playing Minerva's Den to look up references for painting the Fiery Brute.

yes i was glad they still sell the rosie for a reasonable price costed $22 compared to delta which seems to be going for $60+ i should be getting it today hopefully it doesn't have anything wrong with it. so new custom fiery brute ehhhh keep us updated sounds great.

EDIT: so i got my Rosie, but the one thing i was afraid of happened the porthole bars on the front of him appear bent. everything else looks great except for that i know this was a issue when they first released and i kind of expected it even though it's not too bad at least they aren't completely broken off. also NECA tweeted this picture today looks like Elizabeth and Boy of Silence figures confirmed.

Yeah, sorry to hear about the Rosie, but I hope you have better luck with the Brute. Speaking of which, the Fiery Brute is halfway done, and I'll try to show him off soon, just as soon as I get the rest of the figures shown off here (just realized for a while, I haven't posted any of the customs on the Fan Art Thread.)

i already got the brute i had 6 to choose from at my TRU they were all messed up bad paintjobs on the blood splatter or the face looked all weird. i think i chose the best one they had this is why i hate TRU exclusives they don't take care of their stuff and once they hit the racks they are all messed up

I also had that problem when finding a good painted Brute. The one I'm repainting had some paint issues, too, but at least it made it more easier to repaint. Speasking of which, painting pinstripes on the pants is very tricky, not just getting it straight, but remembering to match the joint alignment from the leg and waist when posed. besides balancing the flame colors with the in-game character, stripes are the real obstacle for painting the figure.

Ugh, so I guess they have no problem doing normal looking human figures now? I mean, I would buy an Elizabeth, but that being their #1 reason for not making an Andrew Ryan figure kinda feels like a punch in the gut.

with elizabeth though you'll see her pretty much throughout Infinite so she is a lead character that people will instantly know. Ryan appears more in voice than in person in BioShock so even though he was a huge character in it you rarely see him which is why i think they opted not to make him aside from maybe not having the license for Bio1.
