Granted. Can you give me something else they've done recenltly? Their showing are poor or nott at all at Toyfair, and Comic-con. they've been falling apart as a company for years now (with the rise of Neca) and for those of you who aren't toy collectors and keep up with these things.......Mr Falk used to work for Mcfarlene and shortly afterward began Neca. You can't tell me no one has ever noticed the similarities. Horror, Video Games, and Movie figures (most notably Alien and Pretador) so Neca is the new improved version....Mcfarlene got too involved in sports figures and the like to get much else done. Don't even get me started on Spawn...-_-
To be honest. DC Direct, Neca, and McF all have a big thing in common....lack of articulation. I don't mind it, but almost everyone who's ever seen the character expects it to do the same things it does when you see it in context. Whatever the case, I wish all the companies good luck.....
Yeah Malt Vinegarhe was making a Blanche figure and that was what he was saying he was making and had pictures of development I think about a month or so ago and he said he would make more depending on what people wanted.
Subject Sigma is about done, now I'm looking into ideas for his Ion Laser.
Sculpting is done on Eleanor Lamb, first coat of paint has been 80% applied, but she still needs quite a bit of finishing work...
I should have pics of Sigma by tonight or tomorrow...
Sigma? ooo
I can'twait to see it!
Yeah, I really got a big kick out of Minerva's Den and Sigma. I kinda had to make up the color scheme, but like I said in earlier posts, you can tell by his hands that he should be black, gray and silver where Delta is dark blue, brown, and bronze.
I made his faceplate white. Not sure if that's accurate or not, since you never really see him, but I wanted something to distinguish him from Delta (yellow), Sinclair (Orange) or the other Alphas (unlit). I got the idea from the ID scan screens. They're in monochrome, so of course the light looks white, but I thought it looked cool so I went with it.
But really, I won't feel like he's complete until I've made an Ion Laser for him. I've got some parts together (old MGS2 Vulcan Raven chain gun, clear tube that held Xacto blades, other Star Wars stuff I can use for details), but it's gonna be tough; I've never fabricated something from scratch before.
Eleanor has taken a LOT of sculpting. The paint shouldn't be so bad and I oughta have her done in the next couple of days. I was gonna make a O2 tank for her back, but I decided since I'm using the 'unmasked' SDCC Eleanor that I could skip it. After all, by the time she takes her helmet off, her tank is off too (I think).
and MightyHaze: one detail you missed about your Eleanor... her right gauntlet doesn't have the harpoon like the other Big Sisters. She has some small wrench/pincher looking attachment instead! Not a big deal, I just thought I'd let you know in case your an accuracy dork like me...
Oh yeah, how soon I forget...
MGS2 was full of such awesome characters such as Vamp and Raiden, how could I make that mistake?!?
I finished up Sigma and Eleanor!
Sigma still needs his laser, but here you go:
Subject Sigma 1
Subject Sigma 2
Subject Sigma Drill
Subject Sigma side view
Sigma and Delta
It's just a simple repaint for now. I wish the pics had come out a little better, I did some blue-green oxidization on his metal parts (copying it off the stock Delta) and it looks cool!
Eleanor Lamb Unmasked:
Eleanor 1
Eleanor 2
Eleanor Gather
Eleanor Close-Up
SPOILER ALERT!
I really dig that last pic! She even looks sad...
She took me days. I used up almost a whole pack of Green Stuff (thanks to MightyHaze for the ideas). I had to cut a lot of the braces off her legs, as well as the harpoon on her right arm.

Very nice work,Agent![]()
Awesome. I love the Sigma its so cool.
And the eleanor mod looks great with the unmasked Figure. I just did it with a reg big sister.
Great Work!!!
Edit: Agent, you should also post in the Splicers Hall of Madness. Its been pretty dead there lately...

Thanks, dudes! What exactly IS the Hall of Madness? I've never really poked into that thread...
In any case, I'd have to do all FOUR of my BioShock shelves...
Say, would anyone happen to have some good high res background pics to use for my displays? It'd be nice to have some cool Rapture atmosphere, I've just been using the packing as my backgrounds up to now.
Kick Arse customs figures!![]()

Thanks guys! I put a bit of work into them and it makes me feel good to get some credit for them. Of course, my family just looks at me like I'm crazy when I show this stuff off to them. Special thanks to MightyHaze for paving the way for Eleanor.
And anyone who wants a Sigma... seriously, it's easy. Go buy some acrylic model paints and an extra Delta, devote an afternoon, and there you go. If it's your first custom, the paint might not be perfect, but Sigma's color scheme is so simple it'd be hard for even a beginner to mess up!
i got the Bioshock 2 Special Edition!
That is good Bladeat least people are still getting it I got it the day it came out
that was one of the best days of my life lol.
@Agentclaret Great work and can i ask how you painted Sigma did you paint directly over the delta paintwork or did you prime it first before putting the new paint on him?
I just painted right over him. I use Model Master Acryl paints, they're pretty awesome and I haven't even needed a primer with them!
Really nice work on the customs! Been really busy prepping Q1 of 2011. Lots of new figures going into production. Also was fortunate enough to meet with Ken Levine last week but you guys all know that already. Let's hope some Infinite toys and collectibles are in our future...
I'm fine with their current trend of Big Daddies. I know Mr. Falk said the chances are slim, but I'm still pulling for a Rumbler.
And even slimmer, but still awesome, would be a Lancer.
And wow... getting props from Mr. NECA himself on my customs is a huge confidence booster!
Agent your customs are awesome =) (doesn't mean much coming from after getting complimented by neca but I still wanted to say that).
Oh I finally got the delta and bouncer dolls now my collection is complete hahaha, well at least till the holiday pack is out but still complete hahaha.
Out of curiosity, there was a petition brought up by a member here, a sign-up for Neca; requesting for the Andrew Ryan figure. How's that coming along? The last time i checked it was over 100 signatures.
I'm not really craving for any human figures myself, but maybe it'd be a cost effective enough gamble for NECA to make a Ryan or Sinclair figure closer to the style of their movie series instead of the Player Select. I don't think anyone would mind lack of leg articulation and stuff like that.
But really, the upcoming splicers don't excite me that much. I'd really like more Big Daddies (and Little Sisters)
and thank you mistress, of course your kind words still mean a lot!
So, has anyone spotted the pre-order cards for the Holiday Pack at their local Toys R Us yet?
Same here.
I've got all the available Big Daddies and Little Sisters (and the Big Sister as well), and would like to see a Lancer & Rumbler made.
I've got my sites set on acquiring the Sinclair/Little Sister/Bunny Mask holiday pack, but the splicers are not of enough interest to me.
i think the new splicers will look awsome![]()
I haven't been to my local TRU for a month now. I usually go every Saturday or Sunday. The last time i have a visit there, one of the employee said the Pre-order cards for the holiday gift pack will be sometime in early November. I'll go this Weekend and see for myself.
I'll be sure to post some pictures of the Pre-order card when i have one, like i did with the Elite and Rosie.
It should be similar to this:

I have no doubt that the upcoming splicers will be well done and accurate but they're just too ugly to display for my tastes; too disturbing looking.
But I have nothing but praise for Neca's quality execution: their products are top shelf without a doubt and I'm very happy that Bioshock merchandise is produced by them.
Thanks for that tam.
Question on the pre-orders: do you have to pay 100% up front when you reserve or will they take something like a $5 deposit?
