I wouldn't think anything that inhuman and demonic looking could ever possibly make it in this game, but you never know. IF it did, that'd be some scary ☺☺☺☺.

According to most of the stuff I've read, the game has been through countless re-imaginings, and originally, it wasn't about the splicers and stuff, but about genetic monsters or something, I think I read that somewhere? Or maybe I'm just making it up?

I hope they have just stuck to relatively human looking splicers.

When they creep up thats damn scary enough! :P

The book did say that it contained spoilers, and if you look through it, I don't really see any other spoilers than those genetic mutations for enemies. Everything else can pretty much be seen in trailers for the game, but those monsters would seem to be bosses that one must fight later in the game. Scary.

Like Nazis on an island.. from what I read.. Rapture is infinitely better than that!

and, ya,those monsters shown in the art book are too frickin' creepy.. I might not play anymore if I run into any of those...

Yes, the original Bioshock was gonna be touring a abandoned Nazi island base full of twisted genetic experiments.

I think the Nazis have had their fair share of videogame appearences though, let someone else have a shot at being the bad guys!

u know playing this game alone at 3 in the morning on a huge plasma with surround would be totally kick a$$ if they did have scarier things

I swear if this game had Nazi Genetic Experiments gone wrong I wouldn't buy it! I did a research paper at school about a famous Nazi doctor who worked on Jewish people, and let me tell you, that is some freaky stuff. He would dye their eyes different colors, he would try to create different species with them... *shudders*. I got sick while writing that paper.

I think the finished splicers are scarier than the generic demonic beings. With splicers you can see that they used to be normal people but plasmids have deformed their mind and body.

I believe that the enemies in BioShock are really psychological rather than them just appearing extremely grotesque.

I think all the enemies will be splicers, but a large variety of splicers, maybe something monster like for bosses?

Splicers wouldn't get boring, there would be more of a variety of those than aliens in halo 2, or most enemies in FPS for that matter.

I like that as well. I really felt pulled back into a Resident Evil type game after looking at the pics of the original monsters. The twisted splicer of what humanity could become is scarier and a new concept than a twisted monster with a huge squid hand.

I'm just happy with the way the Big Daddies came out, the other concepts looked.......hmmm.....stupid?
