nice find, it's good to see something new once in awhile.... but hopefully there will be more at E3 and not just a 1 min trailer
Awesome. We get to see Tommy guns and car destruction.
not bad at all, the ending certainly seems be hinting at something very dark!
this is considered as the PRE e3 trailer...so I'm sure there's much more to come...
also could someone upload this to youtube?
WOW![]()
It cool, great video, thank you, man!
COOL it looks like a movie! well certainly theyre doing a real good job.

youtube version of trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5v0JK9TcMo
I just put the youtube link up only because some people have trouble with the IGN link....
at least this way they'll still get to see it...albeit in diminished quality...
I am very impressed, great graphics overall! And the quality of sound and cinematics are at the rank that we are expecting for Mafia 2 I think
Great job Mafia II devs!
wow .. in the first seconds of movie , you can see the Juliano Bridge from Mafia 1 ? :P the same is amazing. great game
Still looks sweet
For some reason...this trailer made me very emotinal...the darkness, and the dark things that Vito has turned his life into...plus that music....wow bravo 2K Czech, bravo.
2k know the moment to release new video![]()
It's..... incredible. If this game is delayed more than i'm realy going to kill myself.![]()
Hey Elizabeth where and when we can download HD version?? I think anyone don't want to pay for IGN premium...
WOW, Very cool vid![]()
Yeah, the first few seconds looks a typical scene from Mafia 1.
The fat guy was included in another trailer as well.
I don't know whether it's actual ingame mission, or just made specially for showcase purposes, like the christmas confessions trailer.
It's like a hollywood movie, seriously, if the whole story will be like this, they've even could make a real life movie out if it. And I'm sure it would be a box office hit!
Waiting for the HD version, I hope they'll put it on the site, just like the other ones.
Elizabeth?
Can't go sleep until get HD version) on Czech Republic we have 10:10PM...

have fun with the one on IGN, guys, and stay tuned, i'll keep you updated.
you can't have everything all at once!
that last bit where you can just here the bloke pleading is really quite creepy, very effective![]()
as for the Live logo, something else from the earnings call..
so that prob explains it, they've said no multi, so some sort of DLC.According to VG247, the publisher also stated an intention to extend the life of all of its future games with downloadable content or multiplayer modes.
Hey Elizabeth,
do you know if the E3 Trailer also available in other languages for example: German?
streamed the HD version to TV & surround system and looks stunning, love the voice acting, and the music![]()
the lighting looks v nice, esp the short clip of the fight on the stairs & the molotov exploding.
I hope that the modding tools (yes I'm gonna keep going on about them till they're released) have a feature to create awesome movies like these trailers. It'll make mod releases so much more of a theatrical process. With Mafia I we just kinda throw them at the Mafiascene moderators to upload and that's it. It'd be great to tease people with trailers and high resolution, carefully choregraphed screenshots.
Bet its some kool stuff.![]()

They definitely have voice acting and script to rival the best gangster movies, with a soundtrack, atmosphere and delivery to surpass them. The speaker (Henry?) had a voice that sent shivers down my spine, and I think I've regained my faith that Mafia II will indeed be incredible. This is exactly what the video game genre needs in order to be taken seriously.
However, there were one or two things that detracted from the overall feel. I know a lot of it was in slow motion, but the fire and explosion animations need work. Even so, these were the only two faults that I found in a trailer that was otherwise utterly flawless. Good work 2K, very good.
As I uderstand, there will be on E3 some gameplay?![]()

Well, all of the fire was in slow motion. I guess they still used textures for the fire. It a pretty old technique that has been used ever since. Its much easier to handle than a stunning particle system, but I might also be mistaken.
I guess the fire will look good when being played in real time, the car explosion was ok, nothing special. The second explosion did look like a plain texture file.
Beside that little tiny thing, everything was so god **** ****ing awesome.
thats amazing!![]()
i love the cinematics. its like watching a action movie
