    Bioshock Gameplay

Im not sure if this is the best place to put this and I didnt find another thread on it, so sorry if this is the wrong part of the forum. I played the demo, and I have to say it was pretty creepy. I dont normally like those kinds of games, but this one was awesome enough to keep me going. The demo level seemed very linerar. Now Ive heard that this was because it was tutorialish, but I havent heard any more on the subject. I was wondering weather this game was focused on free roam, And if there is any type of freindly zone, or if its just running around killing everyone in sight. Thanks

Didn't you see the stickied DEMO thread that is for ALL demo related topics?

I read it. It should still be in the demo thread since it concerns the demo. But I don't think the whole game will be like that since you will have more weapon/ammo/plasmid options.

From what I understand, yes. The game is going to be to an extent free roaming. It will be an adventurous game. Of course, it will have some sort of linear sense though because it still has to follow a plot. We shall see, only 6 more days!

I don't think it has. At least, I haven't heard anything.

I don't think every room has enemies in it, since they roam around. I don't think there will be specific spots that are always safe though.

The closest it ever gets is there will be enemies who won't attack you cause of how beefed up you are, or depending on your weapon, or so I've heard.

Thanks for the replies. That feels like a real negative. If there are no freindly players and no safe spots, the posibility of it being sand-boxish is low. It sounds like its going to be a game where its up to you to clear out a citys worth of crazed people without any help

It's an FPS, not a sand-box shooter or an RPG.

Just because there aren't a lot of friendlies doesn't mean it can't be sandox. Being sandbox meaning being able what YOU want to do, in different ways, from what the developer set you out to do. It's non-linear, and you have a whole lot of choices on how to do pretty much anything. The game's not about clearing out rooms, none of the goals are ever that.

Yea, But I was hoping for a game that had somewhat of the gameplay of mercenaries. I was hoping for an oposing force to the splicers that consists of more that one lone plane crash survivor and a guy on a radio. Yanno, someone that you would fight alongside. I dont like it when you are the superhero that takes on the city. I know im just ranting and repeting myself but I dont feel ive explained what im trying to(not that what I think is significant) I was hoping for the group of suvivors who had not become as dependent on adam as the rest, And were fighting to win back the utopia. But hey thats just me

Sorry for the double post but I had another question. What do you do when your not killing hordes of splicers and trying to kill little sisters for adam. Where do you go where the objective isnt to fight everyone in sight
