or at least that's what I think.
I'm pretty sure that it has to do with the difficulty, the health of the rosie/bouncer stays the same. The only difference is that the weapons give less damage output than it would normally on let's say on hard.

I'd prefer to be a Rosie, mostly because that's my name anyway :D I love the original divers outfit they wear and the reference to 'Rosie the Riveter' with the big rivet gun

Bouncer's,in strength, durability and speed, is more powerful. However, they are also the stupidest, not to mention the easiest to kill if you use good tactics.

If it's a question about who is strongest, I think it was answered already. (Someone cited the health figures.)

It's also possible to test empirically if you have a PS3 with the DLC. In case you haven't tried it yet and want to figure it out for yourself, I'll spoiler tag this:
You can beat the Big Daddy room in Worlds of Hurt with just the Enrage plasmid. You set them off against the Elite Rosie on by one. The Elite Rosie whops them all!

    Rosie vs. Bouncer

    *Massive spoilers herein:*

Just thinking on my second playthru (on XBox360) that 'I'm' (Jack's) dressed and scented like a Rosie in the Proving Grounds, and I meet an Elite Bouncer when he hits thru' a wall at me.

I guess, I used the Grenade Launcher (Frag Grenades) against him and he went down after between 6 and 8 of 'em. I was thinking that, even though I'm an ersatz Rosie, it's the only time in the game that a Rosie meets a Bouncer?

I'd kinda like to have seen that fight between me and the Bouncer via the eyes of the Little Sister, or even from the viewpoint of a passing splicer!

Anyways, in a roundabout way, I couldn't seem to find any posts here at 2K referencing the fact that no discrete levels in BioShock appear to have a combination of Rosies and Bouncers within the same locale. Maybes a limitation of the A.I. prevented that: 'your' responses, plus 'bots, turrets and splicers adds up to a lot of processing, and the Big Daddy A.I. is pretty fast and accurate when they're in combat mode added to the mix, so maybe a bit much to mix each Big Daddy A.I. type in there as well?

    But, I digress...
I guess my point is that even though Tenenbaum states that only girls could become harvesters, I don't recall reading or seeing that only men could become 'Big Daddies'?

    *Tangent*

Random theory; I remember hearing 'Rosie the Riveter' as a cliché way before I played BioShock:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosie_the_Riveter

'...Rosie the Riveter is a cultural icon of the United States, representing the American women who worked in war factories during World War II, many of whom worked in the manufacturing plants that produced munitions and materiels...'

And so I got to wondering: Adam-enhance testosterone and splice with aggressivity tonics, down-on their-luck guys 'participated' in the protector program and worked well as Bouncers.

Don't mean to stereotype, but seems to me that Adam-enhance Estrogen, splice multi-tasking rivet-gun accuracy and proximity mine lacing with more of an attitude of staying close to a Little Sister and protecting her rather than just a headlong meleé rush, and 'dames' would probably make pretty good 'Rosies'?

After all, there's little distinction between the guy and girl splicers in the game? Rose, in Neptune's, was for me the most difficult splicer in the game to take down!

Just, anyways my thoughts on Rosies vs. Bouncers

    Lightbulb Rosie

First of all rosie has gernades, rail gun in new game. I saw a 50. cal machine gun turret u can use so thats that i say rosie would win.

The only real way to settle this is if we get on bioshock 1 make a video and get rosie vs bouncer.

personally i love the bouncer, but from what i've seen rosies will always kill them they have grenades and rivets compared to just the drill for the bouncer
